One of the best things about Davis 3/19/2006

For such a small town as Davis, the farmer's market is relatively well-sized, and has a good selection. It's my favorite place for fruits & veggies, particularly organically grown. The area where the farmer's market is held is also ideal, with a grassy area nearby as well as several play areas for kids for the whole family to enjoy. There are always a few political action/non-profit/public service/school booths at the Saturday Market, which is just a reflection of the activism of the Davis community. Finally, there are often several booths from local restaurants, which enable patrons to grab breakfast on Saturday, or dinner on Wednesday nights. My only wish is for a larger selection of cut flowers - then it would be perfect! more

Fun for the family! 9/21/2005

Davis Farmers Market is one of my favorite things about this town! Especially on wednesday nights were get music gets played. The farmers market offers a great variety of fresh products from local farms. They also offer a great variety of restaurants selling food. It is right next to a park for the kids to place and it is just place from multiply families to come and have a dinner picnic. They also have pony rides on Saturday morning. A tip, if you go buy groceries at the end of the day, they will sell you more for the same price because they don't want to take it home. The Farmers Market is also a great place to experience the diversity of foods that is in davis. more

getting to know the locals 9/18/2005

I truly love coming to the Farmer's market because you can get so many things fresh and cheap. The farmer's market occurs twice a week very close to the edge of campus. They have a great variety of hot foods sold at a decent price as well as wonderful fresh drinks, like the fresh apple juice. You've never tasted anything like it, just a bit pulpy and sweet, the way I love it. No doubt, this is the place to visit if you're living in Davis. more

Good For Fresh Veggies and Fruits 9/9/2005

Nice little gathering of the locals and place to pick up some fruits, veggies and even some baked goods. Live music makes it seem a bit more small town like. Would be nice if one day the expand enough to start selling fresh meats and fish in order to compete with the large over priced supermarkets around town. more

Davis Farmer's Market 8/16/2005

The Davis Farmer's Market is held on wednesday evenings and saturday mornings. There's always a great selection of both fresh local fruit and roduce, as well as some great prepared food. Also, there is often a live band performing, which makes it the perfect place to hang out and take a break from all that studying. more

great Wednesday evening date night 8/15/2005

Sit back and chill with some tunes while shopping at the Davis Farmers Market. Bring a blanket or chair, get your veggies here, then grab a bite to eat from local restaurants who have set up little booths. A good relaxing evening. Also open on Saturdays, but it's not the same entertainment venue. Great produce, but if you want a better deal, then head out west of Davis on I-80 to the large farmers market just on the outskirts. more
