Wonderful Dental Hygienist too! 10/17/2008

I took my son to his first dental appointment when he was 2 1/2 years old. They brought my son AND I to the exam room that had a TV and movies in it. This eased the wait time. The hygienist was extremely kid-friendly and knew all the tricks to being able to clean his teeth thoroughly! She was very gentle and taught me how to floss my toddler's teeth. The dentist came in and examined my son's mouth. He showed me the areas that I needed to concentrate more on. He also told me it was time to get rid of the pacifier. He even gave me suggestions on how to do it. That night, all pacifiers were cut and by the weekend, the habit was broken! They had plenty of stickers and a 'goody' bag with a new toothbrush! We made our next appointment for a cleaning and were back in 6 months. The second appointment was just as great as the first. The office staff is courteous and kind. I will agree with another reviewer that said the wait was 30 minutes. But, you have to wait at every doctor/dentist office, more

Caring dentist--Highy recommended 10/7/2008

I took my 5 yrs old daughter to my family dentist for her fill-ins, but it did not go well at all. My dentist recommended me to see this pediatric dentist, who is only one in town where we live. It was July, but an appointment was not available until Dec. Since we need to take care of her particular teeth right away, we started looking for someone else. My husband's co-worker recommended Dr. Goldstein. We are so glad to find him because not only he is truly good at what he does but also he cares his patients enough that he personally calls us to follow up. We have never had a doctor himself/herself called us to follow up. Needless to say, we are impressed by him very much. It takes 40 mins from my home to his office, but it is very worth the drive to receive a good care for my child. I am telling all my mommy friends to see Dr. Goldstein. more

Dr Goldstein is best in town. 8/6/2008

Parents in the know, trust their children's teeth to kind-hearted Dr. Goldstein and his caring staff. His wealth of knowledge and the first-rate dental care he provides are unmatched in the Greater Orlando Area. One spring, our son had an emergency dental issue when he fell off his bike and his two front teeth were nearly knocked completely out. My son and I were nearly devasted. Dr. Goldstein took us in on a moments notice and saved the day. We'll be forever grateful for the miraculous repairs he made to our son's smile. Sometimes the wait can be long, but I don't mind as I know the care Dr. Goldstein and his staff provide are worth the wait. more

Always professional 7/17/2008

We had two horrible dental experiences within a short time when we moved to FL six years ago. Thank goodness we found Dr. Goldstein and his staff. He is very professional and knows his niche in his industry. I am astounded at how many parents don't understand that only the patient (child) can go into the treatment room. The room is wide open for a classroom type environment. He is extremely successful because of his policies and patience with kids of all ages. We absolutely love this dentist and recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best in the area. more

Not for small children 4/10/2008

I am uncomfortable with their policy of not permitting a parent to remain with a small child. I can understand a policy for first grade and up. The staff is very nice and he is very good at what he does. My only other complaint is they are terrible about running on time. In 3 appointments, the closest to being on time was 30 minutes late; very annoying. more

good experience 3/4/2008

I have no problem with my kids going back alone I think its much better that way, because the kids know they can manipulate the parent into feeling sorry for them and then the parent won't make them go through with the visit. I was a little distressed that my 3 year old is going to have to be strapped down to a papoose board at her next visit to get her sealants, but I want to teach them good teeth are important for good health . Plus they are going to give her some medicine to make her drowsy before her visit. The waiting room is totally kid-friendly, very colorful and full of toys and books. The staff are very friendly and treat your kids with love and respect. I would recommend this dentist to others. more

Caring Pediatric Dentist & Staff 2/15/2006

My children have been in the care of Dr.DGoldstein for ten years. Dr. &Staff are wonderful. I understand that for some parents it may be difficult to understand the reason behind the parents not being able to be in the room with their child. This is for good reason. This allows the Dr. to build a rapport with the child and also lets the child know that at that moment the Dentist is in charge and the work needs to be done. When a parent is in the room the child than knows how to push that parents button and eventually the child gets his or her way and the parent decides to have the procedure done another day. This is not in the best interest of the child. When we send our children off to school we must let them attend classes on their own and trust the teachers &have faith in our children and know that if anything uncomfortable would occur to the child will know to tell us. If we are fearful of the dentist the children will sense this& they will be insecure & scared. There are childre more

Arrogant dentist 6/29/2005

I took my daughter to this dentist and had a horrible experience. He doesn't allow parents back even with small children. He basically "yelled" at me regarding the care of my child's teeth and then called me a liar. I would not recommend this dentist for anyone especially children. more
