I hail from the Rio Grande Valley. Do you know how hard it is to get a decent mother F-ing enchilada in this town? I'm not referring to a corn tortilla soaked in canned salsa. I'm talking about a moist, melt in your mouth enchilada basted in a rich, smokey sauce prepared by a human being. Hell yah! Las Casa's is one of the few places that do them right. There's more to choose from than the usual tex-mex fare and there's actually things like fried avocado and eggplant dishes on their menu. The fajitas are awesome. Carnitas? Awesome. I've heard a few complaints about the service, but they've always been totally on when we eat there. It's a very laid-back, homey type of place where the waiter will come over and chat with you. (Why people eat at places like Guerro's and ENJOY it I have no idea. Meh. I guess that's classy mexican if you grew up on Taco Bell and don't know any better.)
Pros: excellent quality, great value, huge portions, broad menu, they like kids
Cons: Closed on Sunday, not much decor, a few broken booth chairs
