Service time is really long, even with online appt 12/30/2011

I made online appt a few days ago and called in one day earlier to confirm. When I got there at 9:30AM on time, Art Jauregui came to help me and I'm telling him what service I want. When he checked the profile and found out my appt was assigned to John already. I have to wait for 10 minutes until he finished his customer service and his phone. Then he just run the paperwork and told me it will take 2-2:30hours. I said I made online appt and should not be treated as walk-in. They asked me talk to Service manager. The manager came in at 11AM and checked around to promise to expedite the service in 30 mins. However, 1 hour later, still waiting... by the way, their online website needs a lot of improvement such as service Honda specials on website expires on 7/31/11 already. Wi-Fi is not working until tell the accountant in the checkout room. Just like other customer said, I don't think these service guys really care about the customers. I would suggest to find a qualified local auto shop with some good mechanics to fix your Honda. I wouldn't take my Gardena Honda for regular service anymore! by the way, it's 12:10PM, still even didn't get my call. more

Yet another dishonest car salesman 10/31/2011

CLASSIC ""bait and switch"" from Fernando and friends at Gardena Honda. I was driving from an hour away so I called beforehand to make sure the vehicle in the advertisement they placed in the LA Times was still available. Fernando says he has two (silver and white) available. I told him I would go with the white, he says he will hide the vehicle for me until I get there. I get there, he shows me the car, we sit down, takes my information, runs my credit, then ""finds-out"" from his boss that the vehicle in the ad was a ""one at this price"" and has already been sold. Luckily, he can still lease me the car for a 4k mark-up on the deal in the ad. Nothing mentioned about this being his mistake or honoring the price since I drove from an hour away with two friends based on his word that he both had and would hold the vehicle for me. Complete waste of my and two others day. I would put this experience on Fernando, but according to him, this was his bosses call, so apparently this is just how business is conducted at Gardena Honda. For my part, I will be venting on every ""reviews"" forum available about my extremely annoying experience. more

Service Department 8/2/2011

we purchased our first Honda here in 2006. So far the service over the years has been marginal at best. We have the extended warranty which we have used on several occasions.Right now the stereo is out and we are waiting for parts. Par for the course: I have left 3 messages and called the operator once in the last 24hrs and have not heard back from the service dept. Since we have the warranty, I take it to Honda for warranty work. I can honestly say, I dont think these guys really care about the customers. If you dont have a Honda warranty, I would suggest you find a qualified local auto shop with some good mechanics to fix your Honda. I wouldnt take my Gardena Honda for regular service....ever! more

I sent a quote request to 9 Honda dealers, 3 replied back, and DCH had the best price. But by luck, I looked at their website and found a manager’s special on a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L top of the line. Keith Cambra is my salesman and ask for him. He made the sale easy and comfortable. No high pressure tactics, no tricks. I liked the place and service so much, I came back for a 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L. Keith is great. He takes care of the little details and treats you like you are important. He even drove out to where we live after we forgot a few things at the dealer. Yelp gives these guys a bad score but look at insiderpages, or dealerrater and you’ll see this place is great. I work 2 blocks from a Honda dealer in Torrance but couldn’t get the deal, service, or attention that I got from Gardena Honda. more

Nice dealership 11/22/2010

Just purchased a car from this dealership. Nice to find a place that doesn't give the run around. Dealer was friendly and strait forward. None of the usual games you find at other dealerships. Even when we got into talk to the financing guy he didn't even try to sell us extra packages. He knew we were comfortable with our payment and didn't want to add anything. Very ""regular"" type of people here, at least OUR salesman was. His name was Chris and I highly recommend dealing with him. He deserves the business! more

Love My New Honda! 10/2/2010

As a former Ford and Toyota owner, this was my first experience with Honda, and it was great! After visiting another Honda dealership and receiving cold service, I came to Gardena Honda and had an easy, very pleasant experience. There was no haggling or pressuring, and once I was ready to lease my vehicle, I gave them a price cap I was looking to spend monthly, and they were very flexible and able to work with me. My salesman was Christopher Roundtree, and he graciously took the time to drive my new car with me and explain and show to me all the little details. I have never received that type of service before. Thanks Christopher and the rest of the DCH Gardena team! more

Great Service 9/1/2010

I have been doing business with Gardena Honda for over 30 years so obviously I love the service. I just leased my first car instead of buying one and the process could not have been easier. I would like to thank Fernando Padilla for all of his help. He was GREAT. Also, as usual, I want to thank Charlie Shaw who was there in spirit. I just purchased a Honda Civic LX-S from Gardena Honda and I had a great experience. Not only was the car the best price but they had to do a dealer trade to get the exact color I wanted. Now I have a beautiful Atomic Blue Civic and no more silver Focus! The salesman Steven Schwartz was very helpful and I recommend him highly!!!!!. Eventhough I live in SM the dealership was an easy 15 mile drive and the salesman Steven made everything easy. I give my experience 5 STARS! more

From his competency to his personality and helpfulness... he is consistent EVERY time!!! He is honest and will always try to steer a customer in the proper direction for whatever they may need. Gardena Honda is very fortunate to have such a quality person in their organization.
