A great day for all the family. 5/16/2006

I have lived in Florida for 19 years and never made it to Cypress Gardens. Then they closed for lack of money. I was so upset. They got backing and not only opened the Gardens but a great Theme Park with loads of rides. We went only weeks after their opening. The gardens are just wonderful, the skating show and the water skiing shows were a Wow. There were musicians playing and lots going on. The rides are in a different area of the park and we went on a really hot day. The rides were not kiddies rides, but not as frightening as the ones at Busch Gardens, actually just perfect for this 58 year old. My husband and I had a lot of fun on them until he went on a spinning water one. The only disappointment I had was the area in which they brought out animals. We waited for ages and nothing happened. They had a great buffet. Last year it was $9.99 for lunch. Soda was around $2 and free refills. Sometimes they have a second day free so check it out. Winter Haven is east of Tampa and southwest of Orlando. There is loads of parking really close to the park. This is a must for families. more

cypress gardens 4/11/2006

Cypress gardens has been a part of Florida history for an awfully long time. Although over the years things have changed some Cypress Gardens is still a nice outing for the family. Considering how much damage that was sustained by the hurricanes they have really done a good job of fixing it back up and It is important for us to help keep this alive. more

Spend a Day at Cypress Gardens 8/21/2005

Cypress Gardens has re-opened since its massive improvement and recovery efforts after the historical 2004 hurricane season. The grounds are attractive and impeccably maintained, with beautiful gardens to leisurely stroll through and admire. The amusement ride area is in a class by itself, rating much better than a local fair, but not quite of the caliber of Busch Gardens. They have a number of unique, fun rides not typically found elsewhere. Check the Cypress Gardens website to try and plan your visit for an upcoming concert. General admission for the concerts is included with your daily admission, or you can purchase reserved seating for an additional charge. more

Not your traditional theme park 8/20/2005

Cypress Gardens underwent an amazing overhaul within the last year or so. I remember hearing about it reopening after being closed for so many years. You can find rides, animals and shows at this theme park. Coming up in September they will be hosting Kidzpalooza and will include face painting, kids activities, and special appearances. Also coming up in late August and September are many concerts to include Ashlee Simpson. A great theme park not like Disney!! more

Cypress Gardens 8/19/2005

The first theme park in Florida, with thousands of varieties of flowers and plants. If your a Floridian you ow it to yourself to see a bit of what Florida wildlife has to offer. In addition to garden displays, they also have many rides for kids and adults. Although the rides aren't of the extravagant fair you might find at Busch Gardens or Islands of Adventure, the price of admission is significantly less and theres more to do than just rides. more
