While doing the repairs on my motorcycle, they managed to break my windshield. There are about 8 places of small cracks. At first, they admitted doing it and I even have it from them in writing!! Then they say they are only willing to pay for 50% of the retail cost of a new windshield. We all know they get parts at wholesale dealer prices, so it amounts to them wanting me to pay for fixing a problem they created.\r There was no waiver posted that releases them from liability if they damaged my bike. I can only imagine if they had a sign that said...""Warning - if we break your bike, we will expect you to pay us to fix it"". I should have done more research on them before taking my bike there. \r The vice president, Jeff Greer, is a horrible person. He treated me like my bike was a huge piece of crap..and it is not. He talked down to me, refused to help me out, and blamed me for the cracks. \r This place is to be avoided. more

Went in on a Sunday with my family to look at purchasing a pair of jet skis (wave runners) .. the sales rep who was there was extremely abrasive with us, as well as not really wanting to answer any questions we had as far as pricing or current availability. I called back on the following Tuesday, as Monday was Memorial Day, and asked to speak with the owner. I was told that the owner was not active with the dealership but I could speak with the General Manager (who is the owner's son). He got on the phone with me, Mr. David Greer, Jr and then proceeded to tell me that he was the one that we had spoken with; he then told me that he didn't offer us any help because I was a ""smartass"" because he had seen the look I gave my husband. He then asked me ""What do you want?"" so I proceeded to tell him that we had been in the market to purchase 2 jet ski's as well as a trailer, and because of his lack of customer service he had lost $20,000 in sales to Sunrise Cycles, as we purchased from them on Memorial Day (CASH). He then told me ""Congratu-INSERT BAD WORD-lations you purchased two shitty skis"" and then slammed the phone down in my ear and hung up on me! If you spend any money in this store, you get what you pay for. I will NEVER set foot in this store again for Sales, Parts, or Service; which is sad because the Service and Parts Department employees are amazing but are held at the mercy of the jack wagon running the show! What's extremely sad is the fact that the father who owns the dealership probably has NO idea that the customer service from his SON is so poor and costing him $$ and pretty soon franchise rights as well! more

WHAT A COOL PLACE !!!!! I stopped in on saturday, the weather was real nice so they were very, very busy. It seemed as if thet were understaffed, but several of the salesman made sure to greet me and ask if I needed help. AT one point the owner even came out to help, they were not pushy they answered all my questions. I came in to look at a Honda 750 shadow they had in stock. I had did my reseach on this bike but never sat on one. The salesman pulled the Shadow out and show me all the other features. He ask what was important to me and base on my answers he offer to show me a few more models that may fit my needs better. They carry Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. I looked at the Yamaha V-Star, the Suzuki C50T, and the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT. After the salesman went over all the specs and features on each I was able to choice the perfect motorcycle for me, the Kawasaki Vulcan900 LT. With the ... Show full review more

I dropped my bike off for repairs on a Thursday and was told it would be ready on the following Tuesday, I received a call on Wednesday telling me they had a quote to do the work. I asked why I was being given a quote, I dropped the bike off with instructions to clean the carbs, and was told it was their technicians job to sell me other services. So I said 'No, thank you' to new spark plugs and an oil change (I had just done that less than 250mi previous to dropping the bike off) and that I would come get the bike. He then tells me that they haven't done any work yet... WTF happened to being ready on Tuesday? He then tries to get me to have my gas tank cleaned out, cuz the gas is bad... I fueled the bike up at BP on my way to the service shop!So... here it is Thursday and I get a call that I can pick up the bike and he asks me if I'm sure I didn't want the extra services!? Then tells me it would only be another $250 to change the oil and 2ea spark plugs... I told him 'Hell no, I can do that myself for $25' and he then starts to berate me cuz he is only doing his job?! Very Happy Customers 4/5/2011

I went into cycle world with my husband. Immediately we were greeted by several happy salesmen & a saleswoman. I was really nervous to come in being that I had never rode a bike a day in my life. I told the salesman there that I wanted something that I could feel comfortable on and that wouldn't be to heavy or unmanageable they directed me over to the Yamaha Vstar 650 and the Honda VT750 Shadow. It took me a few minutes to get on the bike but once I sat on it I immediately fell in love. The salesman pointed out benefits of one bike over the other and the saleswoman added in how the weight would be more appropriate for my size and comfort level. I never felt uncomfortable or out of place the dealership and its employees made my trip worthwhile. My husband came in intending on getting a bike as well and the salesman were just as courteous to him as they were to me. He ended up getting a yamaha vstar and we are both VERY satisfied with the over all professionalism and courtesy of Cycle World thank you once again and see you soon! more

Stay Away! 5/12/2010

I went to Cycle World since I didn't like the overpriced motorcycles and the mind games played by the manager and salesperson in Sunrise Cycle. When I arrived in Cycle World, I made an offer and the salesperson (Leon Glass) with the authorization from the manager accepted my offer. I wrote them a check and I signed all the paperwork to finalize the sale including the DMV registration. I was told that the motorcycle will be delivered to my house within 7 days. I left the dealership very satisfied although the amount was still slightly overpriced. Cons: Dishonest people more

No use for this dealership 10/5/2009

You'd think a Ninja 500R would be a pretty popular bike choice... and according to Cycle World, you'd be wrong. They stock 250cc bikes and 600cc bikes; if you want something in between, tough luck. Good luck getting them to budge from the sticker price. Sunrise Cycles has a better selection, but they'll expect MSRP or higher, as well. I ended up buying both of my bikes from Craigslist; it was a very good choice. Pros: If they're the closest dealership, order your parts there Cons: No deals, many models not stocked, many parts not stocked more

Cycle World Ordeal 7/30/2008

Buyers beware ordering accessories for your new motorcycle and prepare for long delays on receiving the items. Do not try to hold Cycle World in Virginia Beach to the terms of the agreement for it is your fault that you expect them to fulfill their end of the deal. Once they have your money you become an inconvenience. more

I think this has to be my husband's favorite motorcycle place to go. I have been inside and the store is on the small side. They still have quite a few motorcycles. The sales people are right there and eager to help. They have used motorcycles outside (trade-ins) behind their gates but they don't really like to promote those at all. I think they want you to purchase new and then they sell those trade-ins elsewhere. Anyway, they are always offering too good to be true finance options. They are also pretty good about ordering a specific product for you. They ordered some Yamaha parts for my husband. Anyway, I would recommend the place. Like I said I have been in there a few times and have not had any bad experiences. more
