Big UES drugstore 10/21/2006

This CVS is one of the larger and cleaner-looking drugstores I've seen on the Upper East Side. They have a huge selection of make-up and hair products - whatever you're looking for, you're almost certain to find it here. They have your standard photo processing facilities, pharmacy, big candy aisle, and a fun selection of halloween costumes, as well as office supplies. I went in today and see they now have a beauty consultant available part-time! That should be interesting. On the negative side, there is ALWAYS a huge line. I don't know what it is - there are about 6 registers but usually only 1 person working. When the line gets REALLY long, though, seems the manager actually notices and brings out another person, and today, the manager himself opened a register. In general, though, you can expect a bit of a wait. more

Chaotic. 5/21/2006

Overall this is a pretty good CVS in terms of product selection, cleanliness and actually having more than one register open at a time. Their prescription counter is an absolute madhouse though, both in terms of business volume (never, ever go after work or expect to wait at least 30 minutes just to drop one off) and in terms of their ability to handle it. Also the pharmacists are very, very surly. more
