I heard about Alex Safdari from several different stylist and receptionists. I saw him last week for my color and was extremly satisfied. He did my hair with the most precise color placement I have ever had. My color looks so much softer and much more professional looking. I have recieved tons of compliments. Koby is awesome!!! 5/22/2006

My friend told me about this salon, but her stylist wasn't avaliable, and I was in desperate need of a new haircut. They squeezed me in with this new stylist, Koby. He said that he's been working in manhattan for quite a while, and he seemed very talented. Let me tell you - I got the BEST haircut of my life!! He really truly is one of a kind. I highly recommend anyone who goes to this salon to make an appt. with Koby. He is creative, and he listens to my ideas as well. I will never let anyone else cut my hair!! Oh my God!!!! 5/13/2006

I have gone to the best salons in NYC.. I was worried about cutler but I want anyway. It must have been my lucky day!!! The receptionists recomended ALEX and ROZ. I can't say in words how they made me feel about my self and my HAIR!!!!! I have never gotten so many compliments.... The are mine for ever. Go see them. more

Real understanding of a Modern Stylish Hair Cut 4/20/2006

Went to Cutlers on Tuesday, had my hair cut by Carlos. No only did he understand completely what I was looking for, he actually made my hair look better than it has every looked. I was actually quite surprised, most hairdressers are not that inspired but Carlos was not only totally in tune with the current style in New York but added his own trendy touch that made the cut perfect! Totally recommend him, actually I would book him in advance hes that good. Pros: Carlos, Professional, Trendy more

i made an appt at Cutler's based on reviews on citysearch. i was not disappointed. Gabriel did my color and David, my cut. Both are extremely talented at what they do. I walked in with ratty, grown out highlights. I didn't really know what I wanted - I just knew what i didn't want. I got a really great color and awesome cut. I love my hair now. There is no upscale attitude - i felt very much at ease. Also, zero sales pressure. That was the main reason i stopped going to my other salon - everytime I went in for a trim, they'd heap on the products. It was great not having to deal with that. Gabe and David, thank you! Justin is the BEST 3/24/2006

I went to Cutler to get my hair cut by Justin after hearing great things about him -- I was a little skeptical because his reviews have been so exceptional but I was amazed... He is FANTASTIC. I got the best cut from him that I have ever had. It looked amazing when I left the salon but, even after I washed it and blew it out myself (and I am not so good at doing my own hair) it looked perfect. I have already gotten so many compliments. I recommend him without reservation. He is incredibly attentive and he immediately gets what you want and delivers. And, to boot, he is charming and a sweetheart. I am now a loyal customer! My best cut ever! 3/19/2006

After getting a cut from James, my friends really noticed how it changed my face....for the better. Not only was the cut the best I have ever had, but the entire group of staff was ultra-friendly, minus the ""holier than though"" attitude at other places I have been to. Cutler gives cool cuts for a good price 3/3/2006

After years of not getting what I wanted for to much money, Pam at Cutler gave me exactly what I wanted for a super great price. She does a lot of shoots and isn't always in the city, but when she is get her. My hair is cool and young without being weird- bravo! Ray at Soho & Uptown 2/24/2006

Ray Symons is an absolutely amazing hair cutter! He has such a gift with the razor everytime he cuts my hair I feel like I found the golden ticket! That feeling continues for months to come because Ray's haircuts grow and evolve into beautiful hair as opposed to most who cut your hair and six weeks later your booking your next appointment. I have also found that Ray cuts your hair based on the texture of your hair meaning there is very little hairstyling needed, most days its wash and go and I look fabulous! I feel so lucky I have found Ray and you will too! Check him out! more

Hundreds of models can't be wrong... 2/19/2006

Jeffery has been doing my color for the past several years. My agency sends girls to him because he does the most beautiful natural highlights in NYC. My hair looks great all the time because he highlights it in a way that makes it grow out gracefully and with less severe roots. Also, he lightens my eyebrows which always look really natural. I see Jeffery every 9-10 weeks. Anthony does my cut (long layers). I love the way he cuts my hair and the way he does my layers means I can wear my hair parted on either side or the middle and it looks perfect. Anthony has amazing skill and vision and he is really easy to talk to. He will never cut off too much which is something many women fear when going to a salon for the first time. A GREAT MEN'S CUT 1/21/2006

After years of tired cuts by those quick chop shops, I decided to return to a salon for a really good hair cut. Found an article on the web featuring Cutler and Clyde so I booked an appointment, well, three (I cancelled a couple of times because at $95 a pop and the thought of the overly hip soho scene there was hesitation). Trust me, go for it. The staff is anything but pretentious, very friendly, professional and they set you right up. Clyde's a great choice, easy to talk to and this guy really gets it. He was extremely focused and spent a lot of time on the cut and design. Needles to say, the cut is excellent, its easy to manage with some cream or paste and really looks great. Oh, no pressure to buy products either. Treat yourself and get a great cut again. No regrets. Pros: great staff, excellent cut more

After trying many salons I have finally thankfully settled on Cutler in Soho - where I can relax in the knowledge I am getting the best of services. Great consistent cuts that I easily manage on my own with super-talented Clyde, and natural color and highlights with Adrian. Personal individual service in a non-pretentious atmosphere. The most coveted cut 11/21/2005

Tired of searching for a good cut in Jersey, and therefore trying my luck in New York via citysearch, I ended up at the trendy Cutler Soho Salon. The receptionists were very helpful with their questions, and upon realizing I was looking for a big change, they immediately recommended Clyde. They told me not to worry, that his European flair would do the trick. And boy, were they right! He was completely engrossed in his craft, snipping away with concentration. What was most comforting was his patience in listening to my desires and his great suggestions. I keep getting stopped on the street with my trendy new cut from this cool soho salon, and on top of it, my boyfriend loves it! I have definitely found my personal hairdresser for life: Clyde. more

Amazing Kyla 9/18/2005

I had my hair cut by Kyla and it is the best haircut I have had for 15 years!!!! She listened to my concerns and understood perfectly what I was after, a great style for work and play, with a fashionable edge. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she is a perfectionist. My life changing look 9/16/2005

I went to Cutler after noticing its great shop front in Soho. I had the most amazing experience. I was seen by a very talented stylist Kyla. She listened and completely understood all of my concerns and needs. Wanting to find the perfect balance of suiting both work and play. Her attention to detail is so meticulous. It is honestly the best haircut of my life. My fiance absolutely loves it, I have never had so many compliments on my hair (and I have troublesome hair) even the males in the office. YOU CAN TRUST THEM! 8/28/2005

I wanted to COMPLETELY change my hair and become a blonde for a change (I'm a very dark brunette). I have to admit that I was a little freaked out... and Adrienne was perfect in understanding what I wanted and how to make it look good on me. We talked for a while at their very ingenious ""color-bar"" and the result was PERFECT! The staff was so excited and passionate about my haircut and were actually the first to actually listen to me!!! I would really recomend this place if you want VIP treatment and fun! Rodney has been cutting my hair for 5 years. He is a talented, charming individual with a sense of style like no other. My hair always looks great. People will stop me to ask who does my hair on a regular basis. Ben, my colorist is also simply AMAZING! He has also never let me down.
