This review is about Custom Networks, my first contact (telephoned) contact (Billr) with Custom Networks, and later email and telephone contacts with the owner, Moiz Bhindarwala. I am a very happy customer.\r \r Very belatedly, I contacted Custom Networks in response to their emailed reminder (in early September) that I might need a replacement battery for my (Dell version) APC DLA 1500 Smart-UPS 1500 VA UPS (""Uninterruptible"" Power Supply).\r \r On 30 Sept. I finally found time to go to the Custom Networks website. But due to a poor connection (possibly at my end), I was unable to find the battery model that would work in my UPS. So I contacted Custom Networks, got a telephoned response the next morning (01 Oct.) from Billr, then the same day an email from Mr. Bhindarwala specifying the replacement battery (RBC7) that would work in my UPS, and the price, tax, and shipping costs,\r \r On 01 Oct. I telephoned Custom Networks to find out whether they would take a Discover credit card, and Mr. Bhindarwala suggested that I simply send a check by U.S. mail. On the same day I did so, and the RBC7 replacement battery arrived on 03 Oct. My check cleared on 07 Oct (the delay probably was caused by the intervention of a weekend).\r \r From these back and forth messages (four emails from Custom Networks and five from me), and from one of the documents that came with the UPS, I acquired additional information about how my UPS works, how to test its battery, and how to interpret the codes in its back end plates. I then had one more question to ask (whether Custom Networks, Inc. sells a SmartSlot Accessory card that runs Smart-UPS 1500 battery tests), and soon got back the explanation that it would not work because it was intended for domain networks and my local network is a workgroup network, and the unexpected warning that my newly received battery replacement needed to be installed without too much delay, because even though it had never been charged, its ability to accept a charge and function properly would gradually decay over the next six months.\r \r In short: Thanks to Moiz Bhindarwala and the rest of his team, I have definitely acquired not only a UPS replacement battery but also a lot of very useful information.\r \r I say again: I am a very happy customer.\r more
