miss the store? shop online! 11/22/2009

Yes, my cute little store is closed. But closing my store allowed me more time to focus on making my handbags. You can shop online at crystalynkae(dot)com with Free Shipping to anywhere in the US. Plus there are several boutiques in the Seattle Area that stock my bags including: Queen Anne Dispatch (Undies & Outies) Edie's Shoes on CapHill & W.Seattle Show Pony in Fremont Pros: free, fast shipping Cons: no longer a flagship store - support local stockists! more

go by on your way to Greenlake! 4/24/2003

Okay, so this place is in a random place - behind Aurora and Butch's guns, but also very, very close (like a block I think) from Green Lake - which now I park on 73rd, walk the lake, and then shop for like an hour in Fotos and frocks. The stuff is always changing and evidentally it's made by all kinds of one-of-a-kind fashions by Northwest designers. The owner is very friendly, which this town needs more NICE shopgirls, and I am realizing that I'm not the only one who knows about this place. Now when I find something I like - I buy it that second, because it's always sold when I come back. I just like that my money is actually supporting another creative artist- not some gross corporation. Enough venting. .. seriously check it out for yourself. Pros: friendly, will take custom orde Cons: not near other shops more

Hip shop in Green Lake? 4/7/2003

The Green Lake neighborhood needed a hip boutique, so I was glad to see Fotos and Frocks move in. I love the jewelry and the bath products they sell there. I stock up for all my gift giving needs, and grab a couple extra bath bombs for myself! more

Awesome Local and Handmade Stuff 8/28/2002

Fotos and Frocks is fabulous!-- handmade quirky and fun clothing, jewelry, hair pins, cards, art, toiletries, hand woven scarves, lots of fun things, and all by LOCAL artists! Definately one of my favorites. Pros: local artists, handmade, affordable more

Saved by Fotos and Frocks 8/28/2002

I discovered Fotos and Frocks while perusing the Pike Place Market for a birthday present for my sister. I'm terrible at shopping and even worse at coming up with creative ideas for presents. Not only did the sales rep from Fotos and Frocks have the perfect idea for my gift, but she even had it customized for my sister in less than a few days. It is tough to find the same vendor week after week at the Public Market, so I suggest visiting the Foto and Frocks main store near Green Lake. This store is a must stop for seattlites and tourists alike who are searching for personalized attention, great merchandise, and low prices. more

Posh Spice would be proud! 8/28/2002

Excellent quirky store with a great variety of gifts and personal items. And the store owner is always a hoot. I say check it out. more

Support local businesses! 8/27/2002

I adore this place. The shop cat Corgan tells the best jokes. It's rare that you find a shop that sells beautiful, functioal, hip, hadmade/homemade, pieces of art. This is a great place to go for a card, a gift (for yourself or others), or great art for your home. Plus it's all made by real people, local people, some things are made from salvaged materials as well. It's wonderful for me to find a shop that supports people doing what they love. I'm happy to support such a diverse place, it has something for everyone. Pros: Quirky, Amazing service, Resonable prices more

Very eclectic and nice mangement 8/20/2002

One of my friends lives near this place (I was visiting from San Francisco), so we walked by on our way to the store and decided to take a peek. The owner was so helpful and nice, and the merchandise is very unique. I couldn't help but feel as if viewing the quintessential Seattle fasion/art scene wrapped into one store. If you ever get a chance, you should definately take a look! Pros: nice owner, very unique, very eco-friendly more

Great place! 8/17/2002

I love the feel of the store. It is very well-arranged and has lots of fun things to look at. I plan to go back very soon! Pros: Variety, Fun, Cozy more

What a Find! 8/16/2002

This store, which isn't even located in a ""retail area"" is such a find...cute, high quality things that are beautiful gifts...the owner is young and vibrant and she is extremely helpful without being pushy...I saw this space before it was developed and she has done wonders with it...she makes clothes to order and has fantastic finds every time I visit! Pros: Good Values, Great Service, Perfect for gifts Cons: Not near other retail more

love F & F 8/16/2002

I found the most original and classy sepia tone prints form a local artist at fotos & frocks. Funky and down to earth with a great collection of fun gifts and wonderful frocks. Pros: selection, quality, customer service Cons: parking can be tricky more

You'll find it here! 8/16/2002

Watch your design theories come to life! Bring in your basic ideas and Fotos and Frocks will run with it. more

Absolutely Fabulous! 8/15/2002

I bought two of the pillowcase skirts, which I adore and constantly get compliments on. The owner was very helpful, and even customized them to fit my tastes! They also have these amazing scarf pillows that I might have to go back for. . . Pros: handmade, pro-locals, custom orders more

perfect last minute gifts 8/15/2002

This cute store has everything that you need for a womans last minute gift. Not to leave out fun decorations and clothing. Easy to get in and hard to get out. Highly recommended to support local artists. Pros: reasonable prices, friendly staff, easy to find more

Great Gifts 8/15/2002

I stumbled upon Fotos & Frock one Thursday evening while coming home from a friend's house. Wow, the owner Cristallin has truly created her own fabulous space with creative force. She sells everything from jewelry to handmade journals. The talented seamstress even creates wedding dresses for those brides to be. Next time you are looking for an awesome handmade gift, check out Fotos & Frocks. more

Best Place for Custom Gifts 8/15/2002

A friendly atmosphere combined with a can-do attitude makes this a great place to find gifts for the ""hard-to-buy-for"". They have oodles of unique hand made items incorporating vintage materials. If you don't see it there, chances are they can make it for you...they specialize in custom work. This is some of Seattle's creative best! more

So original! 8/15/2002

I love how everything in the store has it's own unique and original flare, not to mention the store itself and it's uniqueness. Hand made items made from the heart...I'm definitely going back. more
