Crown Court in Scottsdale is a horrible place to live. There are so many negatives about this place that it is overwhelming to write about them all and it is a horror to live in.
The management here ignores everything. The apartments are dilapidated. It is a real slum. My apartment was supposed to have a new kitchen and bath. Well, the kitchen was okay (your typical partical board type counter/cabinets), but the bathrooms were and still are a nightmare. They were not replace, but painted over. They painted over the entire tub and the shower tiles! Plus, upon move-in, there was and still is giant cracks in the tub and the toilet tank was and is still cracked in several places. The main walk-in shower was full of mold in the door tracks and the entire place was not cleaned: dirty windows, surbases, air vents etc throughout! It is a real mess here.
I thought it was just me and my unusual experience, but now that I have been talking to the other residents, I have found that this is the norm for Crown Court apartments. No one cares, no one is on top of anything. They do an equally horrible job at the landscape and grounds here too... with exposed high powered electrical wires hanging uncovered out of the ground, broken fences, and many dead trees and shrubs. The maintenance guys are always here, however, cashing in on managements laziness. They ""mow"" the grass twice a week here - even though despite the over-watering - the grass does not need it and has not even had a chance to grow in those couple of days. There are a lot of grounds keepers here and they all come around twice a week to blow the dust around from one end of the parking lot to the other. Twice a week! so that means no peace and quiet. They take the entire day to do it and when one is done another comes along to do the same thing (nothing) so he too can get a pay check. No one is watching them and they are taking advantage of it.
Also Crown Court does not pay for its water usage... the residents do! So they take full advantage of that too and over water the grass to the point that it is swampy with large stagnant puddles full of mosquitos everywhere. The irrigation system - like everything else here - is broken, so some plants get over watered and others get none and there are dying trees and shrubs everywhere. They are so gross about it that they are leaving the very large, very dead tree up in front of the office. They just don't care. The pool water is always very dirty (no one cleans it). The last I saw it, the floor of the pool was covered in what had to be at least 100 bees and other bugs. The hot tub sporadically works and in Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec they shut the heat off to the ""always heated"" pool (which is an amenity that we pay for) and say that the person who knows how to turn the heat on is on vacation. My apartment has visible mold and water damage in it and paper thin worn away rugs. The complex is very old and has been poorly designed and poorly cared for over the years. This place is a nightmare. They don't enforce the community rules, and some neighbors can be a real nuisance; and getting a book on the rules from them is impossible. Two of my neighbors, so far, have broke their leases and left early - it is that bad. I am counting the days until I can escape this place. There is so much more to say, but not enough space to write it. Crown Court Apartments was a bad mistake.
