As a self professed obese couch potato, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I walked through the doors of CrossFit for my first workout. It didn't take long for me to realize that I was seriously out of shape and needed the guidance and knowledge the staff here could provide. In fact, for the first week, Chris literally had to pull me up using a resistance band so I could complete a single sit-up! Well, within a week I was not only doing unassisted sit-ups, I was losing weight, learning and doing things I never dreamed possible, and looking forward to each new workout. It was amazing to see the results I was achieving, and after a month, I was seriously hooked on becoming physically fit. Eighteen months later, I?ve lost almost 90 pounds, and am stronger and healthier than I?ve been in over twenty years. In fact, in October I fulfilled the dream that first brought me to the gym, I completed my first half-marathon!
