Creative Photo Video, Inc, began in 1984 when Rick and Wreatha Joiner purchased a VHS video camera to make some extra money. The video production industry was in its infancy at the time. Rick was selling professional video equipment using his electronics background.
After researching the market, Rick and Wreatha placed an ad in the local paper offering a new service - transferring old home movies to video and videotaping weddings. Eventually the business grew to the point that Rick quit his electronics job and he and Wreatha began working together full-time.
In 1997, CPV moved to its first retail office space on NW Expressway and hired its first employees. In 2002, they purchased an office building located at NW Expressway and MacArthur. The timing was perfect. Boardwalk Salon, which is managed by their daughter Lisa Boord, moved in soon after, and Insight Creative Group, an advertising agency owned by their son Eric Joiner, moved in upstairs.
Since 1984, video equi pment has changed quite a bit. CPV now transfers old home movies, slides, photos and videotapes to DVD. Services also include videotape repair, video projector rentals, and DVD to DVD duplication with menus.
CPV wedding productions capture the beauty, romance, fun and excitement of a wedding day. Customers often comment that they love the 15-minute recaps set to music, the popular photo-montage videos and romantic music videos in the park.
