Save your money, go to Logan's! 8/3/2012

Let me first say that the wait staff and host/cashiers were great. That being said, the food absolutely SUCKED! The steak was charred and had absolutely no seasoning. The steak fries had no seasoning or salt at all. The hush puppies and cornbread may as well have been made from the same bland batter. The cole slaw was watered down and appeared to have been out for half a day. We'll be lucky if our son doesn't get sick! The manager offered to cook another steak. What good would that have done? It was bland and overcooked the first time - did your cook automatically become better in a 10 minute time frame? Then we were offered free desert. Needless to say, we didn't want that either. After complaining to the cashier, we had the steak dinner removed from the ticket completely. In the meantime, it was hell trying to get a refill or any extra condiments. The woman that brought out the food brought an almost empty ketchup bottle. The server left us hanging with no drinks for at least 5 minutes and forgot to bring more ketchup. He was nice, but I believe he had more than he could handle. This was my husband and sons first time EVER at a Cracker Barrel and neither one watns to go back. Neither do I! If you are smart you'll stay away. For the price you pay at Cracker Barrel you may as well go to Logan's or Outback and get a GOOD meal! more

Great Southern food! 4/11/2006

I love, love, love The Cracker Barrel. It is a wonderful place for a family dinner or lunch on Sunday after church. The menu is traditional southern comfort food. They have chicken and dumplings, barbeque, meat loaf, etc. The store that is connected to the restaurant has cute gifts and great candy! more

service is usually slow 10/11/2005

When you go there it is a good thing not to be in a hurry. The food is meat and vegetables with things like chicken and dumplings and meat loaf being the big sellers. Breafasts are large and a good value. This chain always has a country store attached to their restaurants. You can find unique gifts while you are waiting to be seated. It is a popular place at meal times so a first visit might be done on off peak hours. more
