Our experience with Covered Bridge Professional Home Inspections has been extremely positive. Steve inspected three homes for us. With the first he raised many issues that we would have never realized. He helped us to see the big picture and how the issues might become bigger issues down the road if they are not dealt with appropriately. Our first two homes were found to have multiple issues including structural problems. Finally, our last home which we ultimately purchased was found only to have very minor issues (so minor we never would have known) which we fixed ourselves. We would not have felt comfortable making an offer on this house if it weren't for Steve's extremely thorough inspection report (very long & detailed written report with multiple pictures for each area of inspection). All houses are going to have quirks but the knowledge he shares is absolutely priceless when home buying and will help you to decide if a particular house is right for you. Steve was consistently dead-on in identifying structural defects in 2 of 3 homes he inspected for us, so it's hard to believe he would have missed anything as a previous reviewer stated, this obviously was not our experience at all. This is a high quality inspector who gives high quality results in a timely manner. He encouraged us to ask plenty of questions all along the way. I hired this company to inspect house that I was buying. Shortly after purchasing the property, a major structural defect was discovered that was missed during the inspection. The structural problem was confirmed by a structural engineer and two contractors. I have paid out of my own pocket $60,000 to fix this company's mistake. In addition to the structural issues, major electrical problems existed. In a picture that the inspector took of the electrical panel, it clearly shows the service conductors coming into the panel through an unprotected knockout . During his inspection of another sub-panel on the property, he shorted out the panel by screwing into the conductor. Conductors for this panel entered the panel through an unprotected knockout. Report stated on minor electrical issues in the house. 1000 characters is far too few to describe all the problems -- and a 1 star is far too many for this company. Don't take a chance with this company on your biggest investment! Pros: There are no pros with this company Cons: too many to list in this space more
