Bought a 2011 Fiesta and within a short time brought it back because of transmission issues. They looked at at it and said they couldn't find a problem.\r \r Problem continued, the jerking and lurching between gears was bad enough it posed a danger to pedestrians in a crosswalk (as car slows to idling speeds it will sometimes lurch forward). I called Ford to see if there was a recall. They said no.\r \r Problem continued, brought it back to the dealer, they said, ""Oh yeah, this model is known for its problems with transmissions"" (go online and check out Consumer Reports who rated the transmission as ""Much Worse Than Average"", not to mention the multiple consumers who have\r reviewed the car with the same problems) The dealership did nothing to correct the problem.\r \r Problem has worsened,and recently I brought it back to dealer and they began to try to sell me a new car. Not one to buy impulsively, I left to think about it. A salesperson contacted me three times three times the next afternoon. This seemed like sales pressure, so I told him\r once would have been enough. Later that evening, I returned to the dealership and was met with stony glares by the sales and finance team. It felt very uncomfortable. The salesperson then tried to sell me a used car that had been a Rental vehicle. I left not happy with the experience.\r \r I think the sales team of Courtesy Ford is a sham. They try to come across as customer service oriented, pretend to be ""nice"" but nothing seems farther from the truth in my experience.I sent in a survey with feedback, because they claim to care. No one has responded.\r \r I have a Ford car that I am unhappy with, a dealership that has done nothing about it, and has treated me poorly. Hope this helps in others avoiding a bad experience. more

I just purchased a new truck from Courtesy Ford and enjoyed my experience. Scott with Internet sales helped me and did a great job. He was very knowledgeable about the truck I bought and worked with me on price. There was not much haggling and they gave me a deal I was comfortable with. They also worked with me on my trade in so I felt like I got a good price for my old truck. They were even nice enough to let me take the truck after I signed the papers and return with my wife the next day so she could sign. I would recommend using this dealership to anyone and I will defiantly return for my next vehicle purchase. more

I choose Courtesy Ford over all the other dealers because of the awesome knowledge of the sales people. I dealt with Anthony and Ben and both guys blew me away with how much they knew and how much time and effort they were willing to take to get me the perfect vehicle. Every one was great! Alyssa in finance was great as well. If you want to experience a modern car dealership this is the place. They truely care about the customer and have set themselves aside. On 9/20 my partner and I went to purchase a truck. We looked at the F-150 FX4, Good truck. Ended up getting it. Here's where things went wrong. The finance people jerked us around, changed the price of the truck, the interest rate (changed 3 times) and the amount down changed (3 times). The lied to us over the phone twice, and are un-responsive when you call. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. There are better ones to work with in the Portland area. more

I was not in the best of moods to begin with because my old car was a birthday present and a rare ""pony edition"" which could not be found. Not to mention I had just paid it off. I got online to start my search and contacted the internet department at Courtesy Ford and a few other dealers. The Internet searching was a great new tool - I loved being able to shop right on my patio without having to go to every dealership in Portland. I guess it helped that I new what kind of car - just needed to find it. Ammie Jose returned my inquiry right away and found just the right car. She laid out a great deal that the other dealers did not (a couple of them could not even find the same car). She was very patient with me as I was still dealing with the Insurance company and the delay was frustrating. Once I was ready - I called Ammie, told her I would be in that night - but she was off and directed me to David Townley - said he would take care of me - and he did. Since Ammie had laid out the car price with the rebates already and I was agreeable - all we had to do was agree upon a trade-in amount for my truck. That took a little wheeling & dealing - but we finally reached an agreeable amount. They knew how desperate I was to get wheels under me again - so they sent a driver the next day up to Seattle to retrieve the car and had it back by 6:30 om and I was on the road by 8:30pm tank filled, car washed and fully instructed on all the new toys my car came with. Thank you Ammie and Dave - you made this whole ordeal a little more bearable. more

Best experience I've had with a dealership 4/19/2011

1. Wonderful, friendly service 2. Good prices 3. Clean, well maintained used cars 4. Would I buy from them again? Yes! I had been looking for a family car for a couple months where I live in Washington, with little success. The majority of dealers I went to were pushy, friendly if they thought they could close a deal, and had poorly maintained used cars. There were budget and family friendly used cars out there, but it was difficult to find one that screamed ""buy me!"" Discouraged and wondering if we would find a good car, my fiance and I were delighted to stumble on Courtesy Ford's inventory on the internet. Their prices were great, and after calling them up, I was very pleased that they were able to work with me on the price of the car I was looking at (2006 Mercury Milan). There was only one challenge though. I live 170 miles away from the dealership! I was very interested in the car, but it was difficult to find time to cart the family all the way down there. Like heroes to the rescue though, Anthony from sales drove the milan 3 hours to my house, with someone following him to drive him back. With no strings attached, no commitment to buy, nodda. I was rather shocked. Anthony arrived with the car late in the evening. The Milan was beautifully detailed and serviced, drove perfectly, and was very comfortable. Happily, I sat down at my kitchen table, filled out the paperwork, and bought the car :) After having it for a month, I am still super happy with it, and everyone I talk to is always amazed at the price and service I received from Courtesy Ford! I called to see if the Lincoln TownCar I was looking at on the internet was still there. David Worley answered my sales call and gave me a very detailed description of that vehicle. All I can say is WOW !!! Not only did I get the financing done over the phone, David Worley delivered my 2007 Lincoln Town Car to my home 45 miles away from the dealership. When I arrived at Courtsey Ford the next day to finalize all of the paperwork the F&I manager, Jousif was able to get me a better intrest rate than quoted over the phone. more

They are quick to try and close the deal. I brought my friend here because I had purchased a truck from them and had a decent experience working with Clyde. My friend only had a very small amount to spend. They had just gotten a '95 Monte Carlo as a trade-in. It hadn't gone through inspection but Clyde said they would inspect it before they sold it to her. They had her sign some papers to make sure she would get it after the inspection. They told her everything had passed the next day but when she test drove it the blinker didn't function at all and the alignment was off, it was pulling to the right. They told her they would fix both and tried to get her to finalize everything with signatures. She didn't and told them she would once it was fixed and she test drove it again. In the meantime they had her get insurance so she could drive it away when she came back (not a problem, this is standard procedure) The next day they said it was fixed and so she drove it. The blinker was working properly but the alignment was still messed up. She asked them if they had adjusted the alignment and at first they said yes, but then they changed their story and admitted that they had put weights in it. She refused to sign paperwork again until it was fixed. The service manager said they would not fix it as it would be too much money even though they originally said they would. My friend checked with Les Schwab and they charge less than $100 for an alignment what's the real story with this car? Does it have more going on with it than they're willing to disclose?? She asked to speak to the manager and they first said he was in a meeting, then they said he was back but when they transferred her it only went to voicemail. The moral of the story is COURTESY FORD, don't SAY you're going to take care of something THEN JERK PEOPLE AROUND and do a PATCH UP JOB! IT'S BAD BUSINESS!!!!! more

Just bought a 2011 Mustang GT/CS. Had a great experience, was being helped by ""Pineapple"" who made things a lot easier while going through the buying process. Also Mark I believe his name is was wonderful also! Great service and would most definitely recommend! more

They pleased a picky person 1/28/2011

Despite being a cautious, thorough person I was able to feel comfortable buying a used car from Courtesy Ford in Portland, Oregon (where I have a daughter in college) while I live in California. I found the car on the internet and made many phone calls over several days asking for details and negotiating. Everyone from the owner Rick to the very patient salesman Jason Porter was helpful and never pushy. They gave me accurate information (confirmed later by mechanics), treated me respectfully, and gave me a good deal. more

Big Blue out Sweet Ride In 1/25/2011

Went to look at F150's and was greeted by Jason Porter. He was very cool and laid back no pressure to buy. He was very helpful in showing us all the options that we wanted to look at. When we made our choice they did not have one on the lot but they did find one and had it there within a few days. The truck is awesome and so was Jason and Sam Luu the highlighter King. The way you'd treat your mom 1/19/2011

So recently my moms 10 year car broke down and she was stranded in Oregon without a car. We needed to get her into a new one so she would be able to get to work the next day. we went to Vancouver hyundia and thought that we would be treated with respect and dignity but all we got were lies and scams, long story short they treated my mom terrible the finacing person yelled at my mom over the phone and tried to bully her into another contract. my mom returned their grossly over priced bottom of the line vehicle and went to see Pineapple at Courtesy Ford. I had met him before bringing my mom down giving him a little background info and letting him know that I wanted my mom to be treated like the queen she is and that she needed no more bs. I brought my mom down and Pineapple treated my mom the way he would treat his mom, wonderful. Then we went through the financing part with Kung Fu Panda Sam and he went over everything with her making sure she was comfortable and knowledgable about her financing and contract. Thank you more


I can't say anything but the best for this dealership. They have always done me right. I happened to run into a situation right before the end of the year that my payment on my truck was a little high and I needed to find a quick resolution. I contacted Rick Boyer and Mark Delaney and told them about my situation. This probably never happens (but it did), about 20 minutes later I got a call from Mark and was told that they could help me out, get me A LOT lower payment. I told him to send me some numbers to I could look at them. Mark faxed me at work with numbers that worked for me and also told me that I could either include the rebates and lower my payment or I could take the rebates myself. I showed up after work to look at the vehicle, walked in the door only to find out that Mark was gone. I was about ready to turn around and walk when Anthony asked if he could help me and answer any questions. I told him why I was there (hoping we could make this quick as I had my 2 young kids with me). Anthony found the car I was interested in and immediately pulled it right up to the front door for me. The car was great, now I just had to deal with the financing part of it. Instead of making me wait Rick Boyer and Anthony told me to take the car home and drive it for the night before I worried about signing ANYTHING. Anthony spent about 20 minutes showing me the car and what it had to offer. He ""synced"" my phone for me, pretty cool option. I called Mark the next morning and told him I liked the car, he told me to come in and I would like what he had to say. I showed up on my lunch hour only to find out that the finance manager, got me the payment that I needed and also the rebate that would be mailed to me from FORD. What a relief at Christmas time. Then, today I had to take the car in for service. For some minor issues albeit, but a new car shouldn't have. I was told to deal w/the black team because that is who Mark and Anthony mainly deal with. The guy on the black team was super busy, and had a lot of people at his desk. Even though I didn't have an appointment, I was written up very quickly and even though it was almost lunch time, my adviser, I think his name was Kerry told me to wait and he would have my vehicle looked at right away. In about 45 minutes, they fixed my wipers, my annoying rattle, and an idle problem. My car was fixed, I was back to work on time. Thanks Courtesy, for show me what Courtesy really means! more

It was a pleasurable experience! 12/13/2010

Recently I was looking for a truck with an extended cab for hauling yard debris, dogs to and from the park, etc...I had been looking on the local Autotrader and Craigslist sites. I found a used F-150 Lariat through Craigs list at Courtesy Ford in East Portland. I decided to drop by after work on night and check it out. When I pulled up in the lot I was expecting the normal high-pressure gaggle of people to decend upon me and want to 'help'. I was pleasently suprised. As I walked over to the Sales area an individual walked over and asked how he might be able to help. I showed him the listing from Craigs List and he went off to find the vehicle. Come to find out he couldn't find the vehicle on the lot but said he would look more and call me. Later that night he called and said he found the truck in the tire area. I made an appointment the follow evening to test drive. Needless to say the test drive went well and I purchase the vehicle that night. David Worley was very professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone. I had asked him about one remaining issue to follow-up on. Within days he had called me and all was good. NICE FOLLOW-THRU!!! more

Disappointed 10/9/2010

I was interested in looking at a Ford Fiesta. In no time I was told I probably didn't need all the extra fancy features and more leg room for my kids in a few years, so very cleverly I was encouraged to look at some other Fords in the back, ""I have 40 in back"" Not true of the kind he was talking about. I wanted a 4 door automatic. Of course there wasn't any, so I felt pressured to go for a manual. I was pushed into test driving a car I didn't even want when I mentioned I should consult my husband first. The salesperson talked a bunch of trash about a stupid phone feature I wasn't even interested in. The car was nice and then I was told it has good gas mileage like the Ford Fiesta. It had good gas mileage, but not as good as a Ford Fiesta. I was thinking of trading in my vehicle, so my keys were not given back to me until I had to ask for them, later. After the test drive instead of pulling in back of lot where we first started, I was asked to park it next to my vehicle. So I did, I knew the salesperson was going to try and push this vehicle on me. So I went inside and waited and waited while the numbers were being worked out. The sales person started talking to me about his lady friend and why did I think she was not outgoing because of the line of work I do. (a stall and gain trust tactic)I thought that was so unprofessional and tacky. He then got the nerve to ask me how much did another place offer for my car and how much did I plan on paying as far as monthly payments go. He then disappeared to talk with his manager and well what do you know! They were going to offer me the same amount the other place was! I knew then I wasn't going to make a sale although I was going to let my husband think about what I was about to share with him later on as he was still at work. I wanted to see if my husband would be interested because I value his opinion. I told the sales person I wanted to go home and talk to my husband. Of course he got his manager involved. The sales person then asked me why do I need my husbands consent to purchase the car if I'm going to be the primary driver? I was so shocked because you're not suppose to say stuff like that if you're trying to make a sale. My husband and I have been married and together for 24 yrs! I said ""We're married! This is a financial decision we'll make together!"" The sales person wanted for me to leave my car and take new car home over nite to think about it and show my husband. He even mentioned I should park it in my garage. How tacky. I told him I was not comfortable with that! He got his manager to come over and he wanted to make sure I would come back the next day with my husband. I was considering, but I didn't like the salesperson or manager. So when I saw my hubby later on that day, my husband was so disappointed and said, ""You didn't even check out Ford Fiesta after all?"" So never again will I ever set foot into a dealership without either my husband or father. I felt intiminated and like they were trying to stop me from leaving because they knew if my husband got involved, there would be no sale. You don't try and bully someone into buying a vehicle and try and come between a marriage about a finacial decision. The salesperson disappeared and didn't even see me out the door. Another mistake! more
