I brought my dog here and I can say that he really loved the way the groomers handled him. Thank you very much and you'll get my recommendation.

i LOVE (!!!!) County Animal Clinic! LOVE! 9/13/2010

I must admit, I was nervous after reading these reviews about County Animal Clinic, but set those worries aside because of a coupon I found on their website for a FREE first exam. ( I felt I had nothing to loose, and if I didn?t like it, I wouldn?t go back. everyone is on a budget these days, but I knew when I got my cat that medical bills were going a part of being a good ?parent? to my pet. I even ?called around ? and their prices seemed to match those of the surrounding vets) I thought I would check it out for myself, and I am extremely happy that I did. The front staff is funny and compassionate; they spoke to me about pet insurance, pet nutrition, and gave me an idea of cost for vaccines, blood work, spaying, and shared stories of their own pets.(they even faxed me a copy of my pets results upon request!) They greeted what I assumed were ?regulars? by their first name, and one cute boy with shaggy hair at the desk gave this woman a hug upon entry. The doctor that I saw explained everything (twice) and made Smooch (my pet) and I feel comfortable. He explained the reasons for doing blood work, and calmed my nerves about putting my pet under anesthesia for the spaying (also supplied an estimate for the surgery) . He called me the very next day with my pet?s blood and poop results. The big day of her surgery he called me when the procedure was completed, let me know how it all went, and gave me a time to come speak about post op care and instructed me on how to give my cat medication. He even had someone call me a few days later to make sure everything was going smoothly at home. I don?t know who left those reviews, but they made me realize some stranger?s opinion isn?t worth the price of your own experience ( no reviews on the reviewers lol) . All in all I am glad that I was wise enough to check things out for myself, I couldn?t be happier! more

Same thing happened to my Pet as BronxGirl 2/3/2010

My mother brought our cat to this same place and the exact same thing happened where the cat container was not secured after our pet was placed in the cage. Upon leaving, luckily, she was able to close the cage in the parking lot and keep the cat inside without it escaping. They seem to provide professional care but can be very careless in securing pets. If you visit this place make sure not to trust the containers are secure before leaving. Check it yourself very carefully. When she mentioned what happened to her, they admitted to her that cats have escaped before so it seems to be an ongoing problem. more

My cat is missing because of County Animal Hospital 5/8/2009

On May 6th, I took my 3 year old cat into County Animal Clinic to be examined for a lump on his side. This particular cat, as I explained to the vet, was pretty feral, as he was born outside and, although he was used to me and I could hold him without any problem whatsoever, he would probably have problems being handled by others. more

Do not go there... 3/22/2009

My daughter was taken for well over two thousand dollars, One an x-ray that showed the damage the other for an MRI to prove the damage. They suggested to put the pup down. That was two years ago. The pup is doing well. The second was a handicapped young women with an older dog that they wanted to put through all types of procedures. This came out to one dead dog and three thousand dollars. In two days. more

Caught in what appears to be a scam 12/21/2008

I bought a puppy who got sick within a few weeks(3), out of the 14 day grace period prescribed by the state. The store "Pet Fashion Boutique" in Yonkers is affiliated with this vet. The vet called me after I purchased the puppy, a Maltese, stating that I had to come and have the puppy checked in their office as part of the contract with the store. I had no idea how they got the number but I made an appointment assuming the store had given them my number. I went and the vet said the dog was fine, something I wondering about now. She did say she saw some redness in her ear and was going to give her some drops and cut her nails but she forgot to do it and I left with out remembering to get it. We took the puppy back to that vet to be checked because she had very loose stool, diarrhea, was lethargic, wasn't eating or drinking and unable to walk. They checked her and said her stool was negative but still gave her antibiotics. They also asked me about whether I was giving the puppy Nut more

Dissatisfied ..Once your there you are stuck ..any port in a storm.. 12/11/2007

Extremely over priced ..Office in a horseshoe in case someone tries to leave without their animal or payment. I know of a young disabled girl bringing her beloved older dog in between 5 and 6 on a Fri. evening via a cab. The girl has Cerebral Palsy. They were going to perform an MRI on this animal that was way beyond its normal years.( MRI was not done). I phoned them on Saturday and asked to hold off. Needless to say the dog passed away prior and the hospital charges for the two days $3,500.00. The bookeeper told me she gave her a discount as she was disabled. OK! more

We work in close association with a nearby specialty hospital for those patients that might be deemed as critical and requiring immediate specialist care. In addition to our four full-time primary care doctors (all of whom complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education per year - almost three times the New York State requirement), we also utilize boarded specialists in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and rhinoscopy. We have digital in-house x-ray capability and every x-ray taken includes a boarded radiologist consultation. In addition to our experienced doctor staff, County Animal Clinic strives to maintain a maximum number of licensed veterinary technicians (nurses), and we have a both an experienced administrative/management department and kennel crew. Our entire team is dedicated to providing not only the standards established by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) of which we are a member, but also the high standards of medical care that we have established over the many years of being there for our canine and feline patients. We provide 30 minute appointments as it is imperative to us that our doctors have adequate time to spend with their patients and determine the best plan without being rushed. For us, the most important part of our interaction is getting to know our patient and treating him or her as if they were our own pet. At County Animal Clinic, our goal is to continue our long history of providing the very best standard of medicine for your pet. We look forward to meeting you and your pet and being a part of their health care for many years to come!
