Cool place, great staff. We LOVED our 2 night stay in The Washington Suite more

We stayed several times during summer of 2011, with our two large, well-traveled dogs. Over the course of our stays, we stayed in two different rooms in the lodge building (pet friendly). Both rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. The wireless worked great. The only minor downside was the sitting areas in each of the rooms we stayed in(blue jay, starling's nest) are very small and not set up to work comfortably for long hours of computer work, for example, or having friends in for drinks. But, it didn't matter as the main lodge has very comfortable seating and several different areas set up for either working at your computer or chatting with a few friends. more

Just came back from a fun weekend with friends and wanted to let everyone know that this is a great place to gather a group of people together. The gathering rooms were large and comfortable and gave our group (10 people) plenty of room to hang out, talk and play games. The owners were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were large and very comfortable and several of the rooms allow pets so I was able bring my dog along for the trip and the hike. I will recommend this place to others. more

weekend (June 2012). Stacey worked with me each time as I juggled which family group would sleep where and graciously accommodated all my changes. On the Saturday evening before each graduation, we had a delicious (and well-priced) dinner. Food was fresh and creative but not fussy, good for a party that included ages 8 - 85. Breakfasts are good, too. Rooms were clean and comfortable and it was a perfect setting for an informal yet not sloppy family get-together. Thank you, Stacey and Mark more

I recently stayed here for 3 nights as part of a work trip. I didn't chose the place but I'm sure glad that someone else arranging the trip did! Stacey and Mark are the owners of the Inn. They were so friendly and kind and I enjoyed chatting with Mark during dinner one night while he was the bar tender and I had dinner at the bar. They live on the property in a separate home. The provided breakfast each morning with choices of cereal, toast, different muffins daily, fresh cut fruit, hard boiled eggs as well as juice, coffee and tea. I also had dinner at their place on Friday night (they don't always offer it) and it was very delicious! Scott is their chef and he whips up some amazing treats. His food was so good we asked to meet him to tell him personally how great the food was and he came out to chat with us at the end of the evening rush. The bed in my room was very cozy! If you want to stay somewhere that is unique and not the cookie cutter hotel you get everywhere else, check this place out. Nice place and great people. more

My third visit to the Cornwall Inn, and just as good as the last two. Mark and Stacy make you feel like honored houseguests. I'd actually never noticed the great space out back -- would be nice for a picnic or just to hang out and read. It's a great place to stay if you are going to canoe or fish on the Housatonic, or hike in the area. And on a hot day, it's great to jump in the pool. Good simple breakfast and comfortable beds. more

Welcomed by Stacey and Mark with open arms, we were settled into Lodge 4: toasty warm with propane heat, and tucked in with 2 little kids for the long run... 5 days in all! What a welcome respite. A recently renovated room, firm bed and fluffy towels made the Inn our shelter in the storm. And the cost? We had all the comforts of home, which made it a bargain at any price. more

I LOVED the Cornwall Inn...I found it to be a little slice of heaven in the beautiful, peaceful and serene Litchfield Hills. The breakfast was wonderful, and Stacey and Mark were most accommodating. We only spent one night there, but plan on going back again soon. I was bummed I forgot my bathing suit because the pool looked so refreshing! This is the ULTIMATE place to relax, unplug and unwind. :) more

We enjoyed our visit to the Cornwall Inn. Our hosts, Mark and Stacey were gracious and welcoming. The homey, country atmosphere made us feel comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing getaway. After our breakfast which included homemade granola and fresh fruit, we explored the area, did some fly fishing and reading by the river, and then we returned to enjoy a swim in the pool. We enjoyed a good nights sleep in the comfy bed. The gathering room was also an inviting place to sit and relax. Thanks Mark & Stacey! more

The peace and serenity at the Cornwall Inn was amazing. Especially welcome during a busy wedding weekend. There is a sweet babbling brook at the back of the property that can be heard while having a wonderful cup of coffee on their large screen porch.(And the coffee is excellent!) The property is vast and well kept with lots of cozy spots for reading or alone time. Stacey and Mark, the innkeepers share so much of themselves with everyone. You quickly feel right at home and very welcome. We stayed in the suite at the main house. The 2 rooms were large with king size beds. The plush bedding and comfy beds had us sleeping like babies after our busy days. Not to mention the fluffy white robes and every bathroom necessity you could think of. The bathroom itself was a very good size. They even provide in-room massages upon request! A great place in my book. It made our son's wedding even more enjoyable which I didnt think was possible:) Thank you Stacey and Mark for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing! more

We arrived at the Cornwall Inn as guests staying there for our wedding in Kent. Mark and Stacy welcomed us with open arms and provided us with not only a place to stay and eat (Scott is a wonderful chef!!), but taking a true interest in us and our mission. I think I can sum up our experience by saying that we arrived as guests and left as friends and family. They are perfectly suited to be the terrific Inkeepers that they are. We will most likely go back net year for our anniversary. more

A bit different than the Victorian style B&B's I have visited in the past. The home had more of a Tudor facade. Our room was very unusual with a raised four poster bed and sink made from a barrel. There were nice little touches like lip balm and natural soaps. The breakfast was lovely including baked oatmeal and delicious breads and muffins. Would have liked some orange juice. The staff was very gracious and the owner was extremely helpful and informative, rushing to give us computer printouts on any of our interests in the area. more

I recently stayed at the Inn for a weekend getaway with friends. I had an easy, scenic drive from Bradley International Airport. The Inn itself was very pleasant -- a perfect combination of gathering areas to sip coffee and drinks with friends and cozy rooms offering plenty of privacy. The owners, Stacey and Mark, made us feel at home and had very helpful suggestions on how to enjoy the beautiful area and enhance our stay. Breakfast was yummy with lots of variety. I definitely plan to return with my family in tow! more

Gathered w/ a group of friends from very diverse backgrounds for a reunion get together and surprisingly we all said the same thing -- that we had a great weekend and our stay @ the Inn was perfect!! Accommodations + hospitality were terrific ,,,,,,, and considering that our group all had different opinions on where to stay when we got... more

I've stayed here twice and have found it to be very nice, peaceful and enjoyable. This is a place to go for a romantic weekend get away. The room I stayed in was large, cool and comfortable. Outside the private entrance was a porch swing and a hammock. The hosts are friendly but not overly obtrusive depending on what you want. Breakfast is included and was very good. The Inn apparently hosts weddings and there was a tent set up when we got there with chairs and so on. This would be a very nice place for a small wedding. Nearby is a nice bike path if you'd like to take a walk or bike ride. more

This Inn is a marvelous place to stay. The owners, Stacey and Mark, welcome you with open arms. I felt like I was staying in someone's treasured home. Just an overall beautiful place to relax. The setting was lovely, the bed was comfy and the service was great. I highly recommend the Cornwall Inn if you are staying in Connecticut. more
