My AC was causing the circuit breaker to trip. They reset the breaker but didn't bother to investigate what caused the breaker to trip because they said it was 'working'. The breaker tripped again not long after the repairman left, called and they thought it was not necessary to find out what caused the breaker to trip since the AC works fine when resetting the breaker. Either they are disengenious or short sighted. Talked to a manager about it over the phone, all that matters to them was the AC was working when they reset the breaker, doesn't matter to them what caused the breaker to trip. Called another AC company and they found the valves were broken, which makes sense since if they valves are broken and is not opening up all the way, it would make the pumps work harder thereby drawing more power causing the breaker to trip. I do not recommend The Cooler Company when needing a diagnosis. more

The Best HVAC Company! 12/5/2011

A couple of Sundays ago my parents' furnace died, and the appliance insurance that I'd gotten for them could not replace the furnace until mid-week. So, I went to the Service Magic website and found The Cooler Company -- hoping to have someone meet with my Dad the next day. Instead, what I got was Steve and his wonderful staff! They offered to install a new furnace that very evening. When I told Steve that I wanted them provide my dad with an estimate in the morning, they offered to take heating fans to my parents house that very evening -- Sunday evening! Who does that? Well, The Cooler Company does. Finally, they gave the lowest of several estimates and replaced the furnace earlier than the appliance insurance company could. Steve was always available to us via his cell phone, and the office was sooo helpful. This company is the BEST!!! more

A great experience 2/15/2011

When my furnace stopped working, I phoned the company I’d previously utilized who’d been recommended by a friend. Although they’d already addressed the exact issue, more times than I felt a new furnace required, I always try a referral over blindly choosing a random company. Thankfully, in retrospect, this individual was unreachable. Considering the temperature inside my home was 50 degrees, I started researching companies on line and frantically grabbed my phone. The first company I called was unable to assist me for a minimum of 72 hours. My second call was to the Cooler Company. I spoke with Jennifer, who was sympathetic to my circumstances, worked with my schedule and arranged for a technician to come out that afternoon. Jose showed up on-time, was professional, courteous, informative and most importantly, fixed my furnace! I must admit, I’m grateful the company I previously used was “unreachable” because I inadvertently discovered the Cooler Company, who will handle any further issues should they occur…I highly recommend them! more

My furnace was just recently red tagged by the energy company and I needed a new furnace right away.The ower of the Cooler Company came out himself and gave me a great price on replacing the furncace.He was genuinely concerned about us having heat that day and was able to organize and have our home nice and warm my that evening. The installer,Jose,was polite and hard working.I would recommend the Cooler Company to everyone for there heating and airconditioning needs. more

So, I woke up early with my home at 58 degrees. I called the number listed on my equipment, The Cooler Company. It was not during the normal business hours, it was 5am. I had Steve at my house before my children were waking for school. It was a part that had gone out on my furnace, and the part was replaced that same day. It is so reassuring to know that others considered my emergency thier problem. I would recommend this company to all who want competent and efficient service when you need it the most, after-hours!!! more

Poor Service 7/13/2010

They were supposed to put in a vent too. Their boss came to check on things and the installers said ""oh, boss, you can finish this then"" and left! The unit was installed and said they didn't have the material for the vent and would call to schedule a new time to install it. We called them back 3 days later after hearing nothing. They said they'd call back later. We called every couple days for a MONTH, leaving messages asking for at least a call back. Nothing! We finally got a hold of them. They said 'Oh we were just about to call, how's tomorrow?'. Fine, whatever, have to take the day off work to wait for them and then they call saying ""Oh, we're running late"". HOURS late like my whole day has to revolve around them! Missed a day of work I didn't have to because they can't manage time! Looking at the handy work, there's now a pipe in the middle of my utility room floor, leads outside with no surround to block the rest of the hole, and they left a whole in the wall where the vent should be! Adding on: Owner came out. Didn't seem to know how to fix putting the vent in. Told me he'd be eating costs to fix this. Told him he already has my money, and took a month got get back to me. Company already told me they could do it, now they're saying it's too hard? Diving me crazy- acting like it's my fault they make promises and have bad communication. Pros: Good price, decient work Cons: poor service, poor communication, pseudo-professional more
