This company is amazing! I was in a real pinch to get an interpreter for my deaf employee. We had a last minute mtg scheduled for Monday and I called Communication by Hand on the Friday before at 445p! Not only did someone answer the phone, she was more than accomodating and ready to help. I spoke with the owner Delia Mott Merritt and she assured me it wouldn't be a problem to get an interpreter with such late notice and there would be no surcharges for our lack of planning. She actually called me on Sunday afternoon (via my cell) and gave me the name and level of the interpreter. I definitely slept better that night! The interpreter was really good and the deaf person actually wanted him to come back for our next meeting. Thanks to them we were able to accomodate our employee and not have to postpone our meeting. I'll definitely keep using Communication by Hand for our interpreting needs - I also feel like I'm really supporting the local Austin community because ""CBH"" is a local company with local management - no alternate ""out of austin"" headquarters to deal with. You call CBH you are calling AUSTIN!
