The place was small but it was full of laughs. Loved the comedians especially David The Voice Stein and Jimmy Hammer. Pros: Very funny Cons: A little small

I love going to comedy clubs and this was the only one in the city I hadn't been to. We went Saturday night. Let me start with the positive. The entire staff was friendly and eff...

After attending, I wanna know WHO wrote the positive reviews here 10/15/2009

Acts the same as every other club in the city- but with the addition of some real clunkers. Prices are un-effin believable!!! For example, $28 for two Vodka Tonics. Cost me $160 for me and my cutie!!! Young chitty chatty audience. No one even tries to stop talkers, drunks, hecklers, etc. Dusty, dirty, old and highly overcrowded interior. They claim home of famous people but any club that simply in existence in the 80's had these same comics play at their club. Asked the manager and they haven't had any big names come out of their club exclusively since then, so they are promoting using 30 year old news like it's exclusive to them and current and it isn't !!! Don't be jacked by this place! GO elsewhere and you'll thank me! more

Treat yourself to something funny 7/29/2006

Comic Strip Live on the Upper East Side offers an escape from the "what should we do tonight" blues. It's always great when someone makes you laugh. Unfortunately, the $20 cover + 2 drink minimum might not leave you so happy, search for deals - their website offers promotional ticket prices, making the evening a big more affordable. Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show time. Sure, you'll be waiting a while, but at least you'll have good seats. We sat in the middle and were greatly distracted by the folks behind us gabbing away during the show. Of course, it didn't help that one of the comics was more weird than funny, but 2 of the 4 performers were excellent. more

If you like UES standup... 10/6/2005

This place is fine if you like standup. You never know what you might get. There is a cover plus a two drink minimum, so it's not cheap to go there, but you may discover some new and funny talent. You'll be exposed to a barrage of comics, maybe fifteen per night, and they are totally random in predictability of funniness. They've been totally unfunny or mildly funny or hilarious. It's always a gamble, but if you keep your sense of humor you'll have a good time! more

Stand Up in NYC 8/16/2005

This stand up comedy club was definitely worth the visit - I have been three times to see up and coming comedic talent perform. As with any comedy club, the audience makes a huge difference, and my second visit was tempered by a weak and sometimes rude crowd. Some comics were able to deal with the interruptions effectively, however, salvaging what otherwise could have been a total disaster. The last show on a Saturday/Friday, therefore, is probably not your best choice to avoid the rowdiest crowds. more
