Treats you like a criminal... 12/31/2011

This store is ridiculous. They treat you like a criminal - I would rather take my business somewhere else where they treat you with respect. They will not let you bring your purse in the store at all... I will not shop somewhere like this. They should hire more security not insult honest customers. more

Great Store, Friendly, Helpful 5/31/2011

This store has the best selection on anything you want. They have great sales which they publish in a newsletter each month. Get on their mailing list. The newsletter will also tell you about Wine Tastings that they organize. I am a woman and, at first, was disturbed by the No Purse rule. However, after speaking with someone at the store (this was before they got the lockers), they had to instill this rule because of the number of thefts they were having. I was told they caught one woman with several large bottles of liquor under her skirt. Someone even drove through the window one night, hence, now the rod iron on the windows. They were loosing so much money, they had to do something to reduce the thefts. I just take in a card holder with my discount card, driver's license, and a charge card. Actually, that works great because I don't have to carry a big heavy purse around while I am shopping. It is too bad that a few ruin it for a lot, but there is an easy work around to carrying a purse into the store. And, there are always the lockers you can use. Think of the discounts and savings your receive. Plus, ladies, carrying those big purses is bad for your shoulders, backs, and wrist if you use shoulder or hand straps. I am old enough to feel the repercussions of using shoulder bags or hand straps for many, many years. I would rather receive the discounts and sales. Don't forget, every Tuesday is Senior Discount Day and I think their Senior age is better than most establishments. This is the best liquor store in town that I have found! more

Sure is big with friendly employees! more

The Best Around 9/5/2010

The size of a small wal-mart with the customer service and satisfaction of a small department store. Very friendly and super knowledgabel staff. If these guys can't answer your question, it probably can't be answered. If these guys don't have the beer, wine or liquor that you want, I guarantee they can recomend something close if they can't get a hold of it through special ordering.\r \r Best prices in town if you get one of ther FREE discount cards. They have a ton of stuff that's 20% off monthly. If that's not enough, they have a sale about once a month on everything in the store except for beer and what's already on sale for the month. \r \r And ladies, they do have FREE locker use for your purses and backpacks just like they use at the swimming pool. more

NO PURSE? 12/29/2009

What kind of store wants women to shop but insists then cannot bring a purse? Crazy-talk! I will not shop at stores that immediately assume that women are thieves. more

Favorite place for liquor in the Springs. 11/25/2009

I am a female with a large purse and I really could care less about the purse rule. Perhaps the previous reviewers who say the employees rudely informed them about the rule should learn to read. There are signs clearly posted before you walk into the building asking you to leave purses in your car. That said, I have never encountered any employees at Colorado Liquor Outlet who haven't been friendly or eager to help. I bring my out of town guests along with me sometimes and they are amazed at the selection. It is unfortunate that people feel the need to steal and I think this store has taken appropriate steps to help keep the prices down for their loyal customers. I love shopping here and would highly recommend this store. Pros: Wide selection of beer & wine Cons: Remembering myfamily card more

Purses, yes again 11/17/2009

Just went into the store and was confronted by an employee about the purse rule. I had a purse the size of a paperback book. I am not a shoplifter, I was a good customer, I refuse to be a sheep blindly following the rules, I will not be back. I know the store will be highly insulted by those of us against the rule, I hope they are aware that when one person complains, there are many more thinking and doing the same. but being quiet. Pros: in the past, always friendly and helpful Cons: purse rule more

i love this store! 9/30/2009

this place is great--huge selection and great deals!\r everyone needs to stop whining--give me a break. leave your stupid purse in the car, bring your wallet in and get some of the best prices in town!\r i lvoe this store, and it ravel a good ten minutes out of my way, because i know they have what i want, and they're going to have the best price on it. \r and since they started the purse rule everyone finds SO offensive, their prices have gone even lower. \r this is a locally owned business, and they're only trying to protect themselves AND their customers from the ill effects of losers who don't care about their community and supporting local business.\r get over yourself, and your purse, and you will save a lot of money at these great local store. Pros: best selection and prices Cons: the purse rule more

New purse policy is ridiculous! 9/10/2009

I agree with the other reviews about Colorado Liquor Outlet. I do not feel comfortable leaving my purse in my car. I have been in twice since this new policy has been put into place. The way the employees tell females at the door about the policy is very rude and makes the customers feel very uncomfortable. I will not be back. Cons: Purse Policy more

May be you should be making sure anyone with large pockets in their baggy pants are not allowed in or make them leave their pants in their vehicle! Why are you only discriminating against women? You are only making women out as the problem! I am innocent, I have never stolen from your store or any other store, why are you treating me like the criminal? Address your problem and remove me from your mailing list, I do not like being treated as a criminal! You only get a 1 star rating because I have to rate you, you really deserve a ZERO! Cons: I will not be shopping in your store! more

Irritating policies 8/17/2009

My friend and I walked 2 feet in the store and were greeted by a rude guy ""Actually, purses are not allowed in the store"" (we were carrying purses that could not even fit a small bottle or shot of liquor) My thinking is just because you lose money from stupid shoplifters you feel the need to treat everyone like a criminal that is very unfair. Maybe you should figure out a better way to inhibit people from stealing. And treat your loyal customers as valued customers. I will for this reason be shopping somewhere else where I am treated with respect. I have not felts so humiliated in a very long time. Cons: policies more

No purses allowed, go to CHEERS instead 8/4/2009

Women are not allowed to bring their purse in the store, regardless of purse size. Women are told to leave purse in car, where car thieves can break in and steal it. \r \r I will not be shopping here again. I will be going to CHEERS! Imagine if the mall, or Target, or the grocery store said no purses. \r \r Get over yourselves! Your problem isn't women with purses, it is poor security. Fix the problem before this move puts you right out of business. Pros: good location Cons: NO PURSES ALLOWED IN STORE more

Beer Galore 7/24/2009

Carry a wide assortment of brews. Pros: close by more
