Not only did they charge me an arm and a leg for a new transmission, they took weeks which made life difficult enough. But when they were done, I had just gotten on the freeway to go home and it broke. So I took it back and this time they offered to rent me a car while they fixed it again. Well they did and then returned the car to me in about 5 days. Well, I don't have a lot of money and live check to check, so 6 months later when the car rental place couldn't get them to pay their bill they charged my debit card without my knowledge. This lead to checks bouncing and charges not to mention the $400 I was out. So I collected all my paperwork etc to tell College Grove Transmissions but the owner was on his honeymoon. So several months later POW! My transmission goes out while I am out in the middle of no where in between cities at night! I eventually get my car towed BACK THERE the next day for them to fix but it has now been a year so NO more WARRANTEE! So now I get to pay ANOTHER $1500??? So I bring in all of my car rental bogus charge and bounced checks information again and talk to JOHN the owner (the one who was gracious when they broke it last time and offered me the car while they fixed it again). Well he hemmed and hahed and said he would have to talk to the car rental place first but they would pay me back. But I told him I was moving and would send him my address & phone number. You would think he could give me a break on the second transmission job too BUT NO! So I sent him copies of all my paperwork and the charges to my account with my new address and phone number so he could mail me a check for the $400 something (car charge and bounced check fees). Well now that I was out of the San Diego area and up in the Bay area he felt he was safe to BURN ME AGAIN and won't pay me!!! He is a heartless, selfish con man who will smile so pleasantly to your face! BEWARE AND STAY CLEAR!!!!
