NOT GOOD 8/12/2011

The guy was impatient to make a sale and rushed me through. He added the additional cost of so-called ""anti-glare"" protection without asking as though it was a given (and without telling me that it actually makes the surface of the lenses more fragile and difficult to clean). I came here once for a contact lense eye exam, which was fine. I went back for glasses because they had my prescription information and I had a coupon. I was in dire need of a new pair of glasses and made the purchase. However, that was a mistake and I will not be going back. more

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS 11/19/2008

the staff here are the WORST. this place has left a horrid horrid taste in my mouth. Customer service is extremely lacking! \r \r i went in there after making an appt- and they basically kicked me out of the store. I asked politely to use their phone to call my work to get the name of my insurance. They told me they didn't have a phone. i mean, it was a local call? i ended up spending 600 in the store, yet they can't let me make a local call? my cell phone had died, and i explained that.\r that guy is so rude!!! \r \r picking out glasses was the worst experience. u are treated like dirt. \r nothing nice about this place. \r the eyedoctor was the only saving thing this place has. \r \r Cons: THUMBS WAY DOWN more

deplorable and disrespectful service 8/29/2008

please avoid this franchise location (1450 broadway new york, new york) at all cost. i just left the location. i came with a note pad and pen to write down the style names of glasses i liked. i am regretful to say that i received the worst service in all of my life. an older man (between the ages of 38 - 48) huffed and puffed as i asked him to take out 3 pairs of eyeglasses to try on. when i asked him the style name, he refused to give it to me citing, ""we don't even give out style names like that."" he snapped at me telling me that i was ""being too academic."" and, then ended our conversation by saying ""you're not ready. call us when you're ready"" as he proceeded to turn his back on me. that's right, ladies and gentleman, i was kicked out of the store. mind you, i was in the store trying on glasses for 4 - 6 minutes. the service was so terrible that i have placed a call to corporate headquarters to file a formal complain with this location. never, ever, go!\r \r the review below me and i are posting on the same say. wouldn't be surprised if we encountered the same staff.\r \r Cons: service, service, service, poor hiring decisions more

Avoid this place 8/28/2008

Avoid this place at all cost. Here are a few reasons why.\r The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. I live around the corner from this place but when I went there because i needed a new pair of glasses the staff was so rude I left and ended up buying a pair at a different location.\r I needed to get my frames adjusted and figured I would give this location another shot since it was so close to my apt. Once again, the person who ""helped"" me was extremely rude and on top of that he didn't know what he was doing. I have plastic frames that of course need to be heated to be adjusted. Anyone who has had glasses adjusted before knows it is not a one step process. The professional needs to work with you to adjust until it's right. The guy who helped me was no professional and had the attitude of a rebellious teenager. He treated me as if he just wanted to get me to leave. When he adjusted my glasses so that they sat slanted on my face and then took them and started twisting my plastic frames COLD, I finally took the hint and grabbed my glasses and got out of there fast.\r There are so many other glasses shops in the area. And this one is so small and with lesser selection than any of the others anyways. Just avoid this place. more

Good contacts, best deal 5/7/2007

I was heading to vacation in a few days and I needed some colored contacts, I saw a commercial on TV and decided to try cohens out. I couldn't have been happier. I walked in, got a contact lens exam, fitted for lenses and the next day I got a years worth of lenses for a great deal. Pros: Got my lenses quickly and they had the color I want Cons: None that I could see more

Great customer service and a good deal 2/5/2007

My boyfriend and I were shopping and walked into this store and were impressed, the store was clean and the selection was great and fashionable. we chose these great D&G sunglasses and I got a chic pair of DKNY eyeglasses. The eye exam was quick and professional. We had a pleasurable time from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. more
