CNN gives good unbiased coverage. They cover breaking news anywhere in the world no matter the time of day or night.
Yes, they run the same story several times during the day. If you watch non-stop that can be a bit irritating, but most people watch periodically and that allows you to catch up on what is happening all day long.
As with all news stations, they sometimes report a story ad nauseam. I haven't found a news station that doesn't. But usually their coverage is worthwhile.
I particularly enjoy Anderson Cooper 360 from 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. The show covers some very interesting subjects.
If you see a story you liked but want more information or if you missed something in the story, you can go to CNN.com http://www.cnn.com/ and get the information.
CNN.com is also a good news resource if you don't have time to catch the news on TV.
If you are a news junkie and are interested in a pay service, CNN.com has a service called CNN Pipeline http://www.cnn.com/pipeline/landing/index.sept11.html which gives in depth coverage on a number of subjects daily.
You can watch CNN Pipeline for free on Monday, September 11, 2006. CNN will be presenting CNN's TV coverage of 9/11/01 starting at 8:30 a.m.
