After a year in our new to us home, my wife and I decided to review options in order to make our home more efficient and more comfortable. We had Gary Mulhollen come by to access our home and provide various options for us to choose from. After careful consideration we decided to replace both systems with new Lennox systems. One of our heaters was strip heat and was very expensive to run and Gary recommended converting it to a gas furnace. We gave Gary the go ahead on a Tuesday and his team started Wedenesday morning at 8 am, they were finished by Friday afternoon. There was a team that worked together to complete the job, they were very respectful and considerate in every way. They called before heading over, once there, they layed out carpet runners over the entire area they would step on and stair protectors before starting to avoid dirtying our carpet. Before leaving at the end of each day they would clean and vacuum. The technicians looked professional, acted professional and installed the systems in a quality manner, it was obvious that they take pride in their work. They cleaned the entire area where ever they worked. After they were done Gary came over to review the completed work and show the system to me. He explained all that was done and provided and processed the necessary paperwork for our CPS rebates too. I already recieved notification that the rebates were approved ($1800). Another recommendation Gary offered was to move the thermostats so that they can ensure the areas are best controlled, great idea! Overall, we couldn't be happier with our systems. We are now warm and cozy in our home without the worry of a high electric bill. We estimate that by changing our heater to gas will cost about 75% less to operate. We will not have to worry about our A/C and Heaters for many years to come and after seeing the quality of work Gary's team did, we have peace of mind that it was done RIGHT! If anyone is looking for high quality work done by professional looking and acting technicians, that take pride in what they do, then look no further. Unlike like some other companies, you'll never feel worried or apprehensive with the Climate Magic technicians are in your home. Kudos and thanks! About 3 years ago Climate Magic installed a new AC unit in our home. I have been completely satisfied with the performance of the unit and the service. However, when the unit was installed a back door had to be removed, and when it was replaced, the lock on the door did not work properly. I called Gary Mulhollen, the general manager, and he did not hesitate to send someone to fix the problem even though it was over 3 years ago that the AC unit was installed! Our initial experience with the company was with Martin Breit, whom was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, spent over an hour going over our situation and even agreed to come back later the same evening to further explain the various options we had in a new heat pump. The install was set for the next day and in a timely manner was started promptly as promised. The "team" encountered a freon leak in the outside unit and I was impressed that immediately another was delivered by Dave Kace, and the process never skipped a beat. Our current heat pump is experiencing some difficulties at this time, but again we know this will be replaced and taken care of very soon! Our experience thus far leads us to believe that integrity and honesty do actually exist in an industry clouded by many companies who claim these atributes, but do not follow through to truly be customer oriented. As I stated previously, we are not quite complete, but we know that Gary and Dave (management/owners), will do what it takes to replace the unit and get us going and this is what sets Climate Magic apart from others out there. more

March 18, 2013 After 25 years of faithful service it was time to replace the heating and cooling system in our home. With the help of CPS, we became better informed about the proper way to choose a contractor. We arranged for a number of HVAC companies to evaluate our home and provide cost estimates. Before long, my wife and I started to doubt if it was possible to find a company that would be willing to meet the CPS standards for proper evaluation and installation of a new unit. Most companies wanted to just replace the old unit with a new unit without doing any evaluations at all. However, this all changed when Martin Breit, from Climate Magic, arrived at our door. A true professional in both manner and expertise, he conducted a complete evaluation of our house before recommending possible options for a system replacement. Martin took the time to fully explain his findings, the advantages and price of each option, and exactly what to expect during the installation process. Climate Magic was clearly our choice for the job but the proof was yet to be seen. On the day of installation, Martin himself arrived at the expected time, along with a team of 3 other technicians in 3 Climate Magic vehicles. What transpired over the next 9 1/2 hours was a beautiful thing to watch. A team that worked as a team, and as respectful to each other as they were with the homeowners.Their knowledge and expertise was expected. What was not expected was the outstanding care, pride, and attention to every detail of the job. It was what you might expect if they were installing the system in their own homes. Even the city inspector commented to me on what a professional and neat job Climate Magic had done. He also said he was used to seeing this kind of work when Climate Magic was the contractor. Upon completion the heating and cooling systems were fully tested and everything was explained to us. Clean up was just as expected-you could not tell they had been in the house. Climate Magic not only did more than the other HVAC companies offered to do, they did more than was included in their own written contract, by taking care of little issues that they could have easily ignored or charged us extra for. They provided what money can not buy: peace of mind that our new Lenox HVAC system was properly installed, fully tested, and ready to provide my family with many years of faithful service. I can not say enough good things about the outstanding job Climate Magic, Martin, and his team did. Oh and about cost, Climate Magic was very competitive with the other companies and even included more in the installation. I would be happy to give a reference for Climate Magic at any time. On 6/29/2012 our A/C failed on a typical hot Texas evening. Climate Magic was called and they did promptly respond to their credit. I was traveling and my wife, who had little A/C knowlege, had to handle agreeing to their bid. Upon returning I checked the cost of the $295 charged for two Dual Run Capcitors online and found these parts ranged, at retail, from $29-$59. I called the company and they refused any adjustment claiming the parts were priced fairly and mirrored prices charged by other repair services. That justification spells of price fixing between businesses AND doesn't justify the 300 mark up. Their job included a $69 dispatch fee and the owner seemed to feel that since an after hour labopr charge as not applied the total cost of $484 was fair ($69 Dispatch + $295 Parts + $120 for Two Pounds of R22 Freon). I would not be quibbling if the the parts were at their cost + a reasonable markup to cover their carrying cost and itemized labor cost at a fair after hours rate, but that was not the case. It was our mistake that we did not throughouly explian that the price you paid for the parts included installation, sales tax and a full 1 year warranty. I wish it were not so but margins such as these are necessary to operate and sustain a viable service business and properly compensate hard working dedicated individuals and their families that sacrifice greatly to bring great service to our customers. Gary, the general manager, has a superior knowledge on all facets of air conditioning systems and customer requirements. He is a very personable individual. He provided all the information needed and answered all my questions. Enabling me to make sound decisions on the system type and size, for my home. My dealings with Gary convinced me that I "ONLY WANTED" CLIMATE MAGIC to do the job for me. I want to give hugh accolades to Martin and Mike the technicians who installed my system and completely replaced all my duct work, vents, added new vents and relocate vents. They worked four days straight, without lunch breaks, to get everything done. They expended most of that time redoing the duct work, in my attic, under very hot temperatures, without complaints. They are very courteous and do a very thorough job of cleaning up. THEY DID SUPERIOR WORK! Their work exhibits expertise and their duct work installation was text book perfect. Climate Magic was the third company I called for an estimate after a small fire in the attic. We had no heat during a very cold December for several weeks while we fought with insurance company. After much research I chose Climate Magic to install a high efficiency Mitsubishi unit in a new game room. I called Mitsubishi directly with information supplied to me by Climate Magic and other installers in San Antonio. I found that Martin's assessment was exactly what Mitsubishi recommended, the price was fair, and they were certified as a Diamond Dealer (experts!).
