Cleveland Regional Medical Center

Do not take your loved ones there and ask your loved ones to take you somewhere else if they have time. Most of their ED staff feel as they are better than others. They are rude and spiteful and would rather worry about their love triangles than deal with patients. Especially when dealing with mental health or substance abuse. This ED will not help the individual and will treat them terribly. They would rather send a suicidal person back out on the street than to find them somewhere to stabilize at. They would rather a drug addict or alcoholic die than to stabilize them or find them a detox center. I am absolutely embarrassed that this is the ED in my community. Nurses and doctors are held by do no harm and nursing ethics so there should be no judgement as far as "should" you help them. It is their duty to help them....no matter what you feel. I hope that this hospital loses their staff that are like this. It is sad to say that I send all of my family, friends and anyone I need to Gaston Memorial before there. The big wigs need to look into what is going on with this place and how it is ran. Not good at all. more

ER NURSES ARE HATEFUL,IMMATURE,NEGLIGENT AND CANT HANDLE MEDICAL SITUATIONS APPROPRIATELY,THEY PUT SEIZURE PATIENTS IN JAIL,..THEY HAVE NO HELP FOR MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS,THEY WALK AROUND LIKE THERE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AND LAUGH AT PATIENTS IN THERE SITUATIONS,YOU WILL LEAVE THERE IN WORSE SHAPE THAN YOU CAME,..SO SAD HOW THEY TREATED THE ELDERLY LADY DROPPED IN THE FLOOR THERE WITH THERE NURSES TO LAUGH AT HER,..THAT IS SOMEONES GRANDMOTHER,..SO ASHAMED OF CLEVELAND REGIONAL ER EMPLOYEES AND THE PEOPLE THAT HELP COVER THERE BUTS,...EVERYTHING DONE IN DARK WILL COME TO THE LIGHT................. more

Cleveland Regional Medical Center is great. They are extremely selective of which physicians they allow in there to practice. I always try and get one fo those because I know in addition to the physicians' regular training, they had to undergo extensive background checks, etc., to practice here. I love Cleveland Regional Medical Center because the employees are nice and kind and very knowledgeable. It is also a regional medical center, which means it gets patients from all around. more

Cleveland Regional Medical Center is the hospital in Shelby. People in Shelby are fortunate to have a hospital of this calibre nearby. There are many divisions, and the newest one I think is their sleep clinic. It's not accredited yet, but they are working on that right now. They are very pickey about the doctors they allow to practice there. I feel confident when I go there, I will get the best of care. However, their emergency room is really bad. I do not like going there at all. You wait for hours on end, even when it's an "emergency." Yep, one man couldn't breathe, he was having an asthma attack, but he wasn't taken back immediately. He was gasping for air. I witnessed this myself. But other than the emergency room, I feel this hospital is a good one. more

Cleveland Regional Medical Center is a hospital that works to help you ... the patient. They have a sleep center, a psychriatric center, and other divisions like most hospitals. Most area doctors recommend their patients to go here for bloodwork, sleep tests, and the like. Although their sleep lab is not accredited, they say it will be within a year. Beware of your bills, though. Be sure to check them really well, as I have found errors in my statements. They are easy to talk with on the phone, but if you find errors, the proof needs to be really good proof or they won't correct the errors. The emergency room there isn't that good because every time I go, I wait for hours on end. more
