Clark's Pet Emporium - Lomas Location

For the Location on Menaul & Juan Tabo...\r My only experience with this store was negative one...I was excited to see a specialty shop. However... In my time there I was treated rudely and impatiently from even the owner...I guess they don't really need your business. more

They do have a wide selection of pets, when I first walked in I there's just a really strong smell...it stinks really bad idk how often they clean up after these poor animals. I noticed right away that a few of the fish tanks were green with algae and more than one tank said something like ""sick: not for sale"" but it wasn't just the fish some of the reptiles and furry creatures had similar signs. Idk if it's a staff problem or over-crowding problem but there's definitely a sanitation/hygiene problem with the animals. more

I went into Clarks to buy some Blue Rams, when I saw the price $23.99 ea. I decided to check other stores in the area, same Blue Rams at $7.99 ea. in better quality tanks.\r Clarks use to be the store for me to go to but every time I go it is a little less quality. I used to drive over 200 hundred miles one way to buy fish at Clarks, no more. more

Unfortunately my experience today (September 27, 2009) was horrible. I went in about 15 minutes after opening. I was looking to purchase some saltwater fish. Still half the fish lights were still turned off. After 10 minutes or so of waiting and browsing the lights that were on I asked the worker by the name of Alan if he knew about fish. He replied no but he could get someone back there in a few minutes then walked off. I started to exit the building and he commented about me not having enough patience. I felt that this was rude so I went back in to get Alan's name and the owners number which I will be contacting soon. I stated that he was rude and I was the customer. When he ran out things to say to try to cover himself, he started the ""Have a nice day"" in the sarcastic tone routine and I said I would never be shopping there and he said, oh good have a nice day again, or something to that effect.
