Clarks Hardwood Floors

Clark's refinished a living room floor including color change. They came on time, executed the contract as promised for the quoted price, left the house clean each day, and sealed the area enough to keep dust from spreading through the house. The finished job appears very nice with only a couple of sanding ripples. Color match was very good. \r My only issue was they encountered a surprise to both of us when they tapped into the dryer 220 (I use gas) for their primary sander and the plug was dead - an suprise my kitchen remodelers left me that they didn't tell me about. In order to get their needed 220 they opened my primary subpanel and disconnected the pool pump wires for their sander. .... and they did it without contacting me. Had they called with numbers provided them I would have told them I have a new, almost unused second 100 AMP sub panel they could use without messing with my primary. These folks were extremely helpful to me in choosing a floor. I was on a budget, but didn't want my floors to reflect it. I am going to call them again in a year to finish the rest of my house. more

I absolutely loves my floors! Everyone that comes through my house asks me who did them. They were extremely knowledgeable, great price, and on time. I have already recommended them to two friends who have been just as happy! more

They were ok. Staff friendly. Seem to know what they are talking about in the office but quality of workmanship is poor. \r Majority of new floors had been been laid by General Contractor's guy. Clarkes came in to finish up. There were areas that needed fixing prior to finishing and they weren't detected by them as being problems. Treads installed were not level. Finish was not good, floor was a hardwood, Exotic Australian Spotted Gum, Expensive material, they left ripples where the machine was left standing. Tore up the baseboards. Floor now needs to be finished again by someone else 2 yrs later. Looking elsewhere for that. Won't have them back. Nice people though. They did cover all my cabinets in the kitchen to eliminate dust particles. Still wouldn't use again. more

We recently used the guysa t Clark's to redo the hardwood floors in our place. The quote was reasonable, Clark himself very knowledgeable, and the service during and after the job was good too. They did a fantastic job re-finishing our old hardwood floors. We also asked them to lay out new flooring in a portion of the house and that part of the work was just OK - some of the nails are coming loose already. PROS: On time, on budget, great re-finishing work CONS: Not as happy wiht new floor more
