Alright let me keep it real for all those of you that want to complain & trash talk a company! People always seem to have a valid reason to pay their payments late thats the reason they are financed through a high risk lender! Thats what CIG is a sub prime lender that deals with people no one else wants to finance either due to no credit or most of the cases BAD credit! Get it together quit making excuses and make your payments on time, simple as that! If you had always paid on time in the past you would not be financed by a high risk lender so if you do become late for once that you are sick or a valid reason it wouldnt be a big deal! Damn I was going to interview at this company but they need to educate their customers and give them a dose of reality this is ridiculous! more

Horrible company. Very fraudulent. They wouldn't give us a payoff amount. The supervisor just said it's a lot more then you have, because our payment was late. The thing was is that due to the constant harrassment by these incompetent liars that work there we have a family member that is going to pay of the loan, and we are going to begin the court proceedings to sue the crap out of these people for tormenting and talking down to everyone in our family they have talked to. These people are HORRIBLE and need to be stopped. I don't recommend this bank at all and I know that Ford uses them so don't get sucked into using these crooks, it's better to not have a vehicle then to go through the demoralizing comments these a--holes make to their customers. more

This Company is Bad they Repoed my car before they said they would and i was only a couple of days late.. They ruied my credit for 7 years and I PAID OFF THE CAR. But on my credit report it was repoed. NOW noone wants to Finance me. more

Business practices and ethics that WILL BE reported to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! ONE DAY LATE and my vehicle was repo'd last nite at midnite. I am recently widowed with 13 yr old son and that is our only means of transportation. I have been ill and in the hospital, at one point for almost a month...still made my payment...late, but it was made. One month I made a double payment, almost $700. I was humilated, degraded, threatened and ""talked down to"" by MARTA CORTEZ, collection supervisor. I guess I was supposed to miss my oncologist appt yesterday & instead pay my car payment....an assumption on my part. Had NO IDEA my vehicle would be repo'd one day late! I have all my emails phone call records and payment confirmations.......Now I must take this to the BBB! Thank you to the other unfortunates for posting your less than good reviews.....IT TAKES A VILLAGE! more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER & Suing 5/9/2012

I have had this loan for approximately 5 months. I'm currently 27 days past due (they can't even legally report it to the credit bureaus) and last night my vehicle was repossessed unlawfully. The ""manager"" Fred and the ""supervisor"" Laura (extension 266) were EXTREMELY rude and disrespect. demeaning me as a parson and my character. Repo agents entered my gated and locked underground parking structure and removed the vehicle without consent from the owner of the building of the person in possession of the vehicle (me). According the California state laws and Business and professions 7500.1(s). If the repossessor somehow gains access to a locked or secured garage without permission, it is a breach of the peace and an unlawful repossession. So as an end result, they have breached the peace. The repossession agents assaulted me and made verbal threats in the process, they damaged my vehicle while repossessing it, they damaged my apartment buildings property, and the repossession agencies license WAS NOT valid at the time of repossession (which means they didn't even have the right to act and repossess my vehicle). All of these factors making the repossession unlawful. Now as an end result they are denying me my right to reinstate my auto loan and are saying that the only way for me to get my car back is to pay my loan in full. I have never had a repossession before so them denying me this is clearly illegal and a case of conversion (i.e ""civil theft""). In addition to all of this CIG financial employees contacted my family members and harassed them, and they called me EVERY SINGLE DAY once i was one day past due leaving my messages, send me text messages some how, and they even called me more than once a day on sometimes as well. I have already obtained video footage from the underground parking structure from my building manager and consulted two attorneys who will be working together on my case. They do deal with class action law suits so anyone in a similar situation i encourage you to call them. Im appalled by the way this whole situation was handled by them and i won't be strong armed. Rotten company and illegal acts 4/27/2012

I have never in my life dealt with a company that has worse employees or morals. I was sick in the hospital and got behind on my payment by a couple days because of the illness. I finally got my phone and when they called me I answered and explained to the what was suppose to be a lady on the other end what was going on. Straight out of her mouth comes "" I dont care if your dieing, you need to go make this payment"". I was appauled and completely disgusted with this. I also found that they are illegally spoof calling others like they did to me. Calling you and making the caller I.D. say its a different number. I am seriously thinking about putting a lawsuit against them for for unfair practices and whatever else the lawyer says I can file against them. This is ridiculous and needs to be taken care of by the ownership or someone will find a lawyer willing to put them through the ringer. Oh and yes I do have the phone number they made appear and the time and date all saved for my lawyer. I have had enough. more

There comes a time when enough is enough! this company is not a company that will protect you and treat u like a decent human being. To Start off violations of collection laws are consistantly violated reguardless of recent safety and collection act meetings. Managment has advised they will back you in any situation in order to collect the account. From what they claim customers deserves. 1st offender Fred Ulloa Manager Of Collections, This 40yr old compulsive sexual predator Has a history of several sexual harrasment and employee harrassment complaints that CIG has neglected to address and resolve! these employees have only been removed from this dept,with no legal or diciplinary action taken against im, He is a degrading non skilled, non professional halfman that needs to be legally prosecuted for his actions and be delt with, 2nd offender Chief operating Officer Steve Kahn, This one sided money hungry old man will only listen to a employee concern if u are top collector and bring in the company extensive amounts of money.He has neglected many concerns and has swept the harrassment complaintsabout his manager under his watch under the carpet since he was brought in last year. 3rd offender Greg Skjonsby (Owner) This man has only delt with issues that affect his money and his family's luxury lifestyle.All complaints from customers never get to him nor does he here about any issues on the floor. this is why you are the biggest offender in CIG. EMPLOYEES: must speak out on these issues and not keep quiet for a few bucks an hr, have some self respect and protect,defend urself and ur family.like they do. CUSTOMERS: do not let this harrasment continue i certainly will not, this claim and class action will make a statement and let people know what CIG is really all about! and how neglect will remind them that our laws still apply to a company like this!!!!! more

Very POOR Service, not professional 1/13/2012

I have a current account with them. All my payments were current and up to date until they moved. Suddenly all my payments were either late or not arriving at all. Jessie was great and worked with me. But, then somehow someone named Victoria got my account and everything went to hell. she refused to take my payment by mail (can't legally do that) called incessently, talked over me and left threatening phone messages for me. I still made my payments, but they just don't seem to get there. I set up recurrent payments with the bank and still there is a problem. There payment methods are obsolete. You can mail or pay $14.95 to Western Union your payment. They do not have electronic payment with any of the large banks. I am trying to find ANYONE who will refinance me! Yes, I had credit problems because I lost my job. But, I do make my payments on time. They have a real problem and won't recognize it. more

I don't have an account with this company but when reading the reviews on CIG Financial, I cannot help but thinking it is so unfair to the company when people are late with their payments, finding excuses not to pay on time and expecting the debtor not doing anything on their irresponsibleness. They lend them the money and have all the right to find a way to get their money back if people are late in payment. The need to run their business too. more

Um... Piton... or whatever... Stop judging others and just go off your experience... that's why it's called a ""review"". ANYWAY... They do have very poor business conduct and bad communication amoungst them selves. They have miscommunicated my account status info and called me at work TOO when I had already communicated to them what was going on... I called and politely discussed the possibilities of taking them to court for harrassment... I could loose my job over something not my fault and then they really wouldn't have any money coming in toward this account, would they? Bottom line= They need to be professional in contact and conduct... No matter what the customer status. No one wins if they fail. more

I agree with REPOMAN951, make your auto payment on a timely manner and you will not have any issues with CIG. I have financed two cars with this lender and they're good. The collectors will get on you if you don't make your payment, but the fact is...that's a responsibility one took when you buy a car. It's very clear in the contract one signs at a dealership.....READ IDIOTS! Also, I read a comment from some idiot towards the bottom that he or she was late because of (X-Mas gifts)...seriously. Why are you making a huge deal bone-head, one thing is buying gifts and the other not making your payment because of X-Mas...that's NOT AN EXCUSE. Good for CIG calling you at work...I bet that person is young punks without any life experiences....face your responsibility! more

Well let me start by saying that i don't have an account with this company and hope that im never in the position to have to get a loan with them. I am a collector myself and in my 15 yrs of being in this business have i ever had to resort to name calling, or harrasment. I work for a subprime lender. With that being said.. i will admit that there are some customers that are profesional debtors but most of these customers are trying to reestablish their credit. How can they if they have a collector that won't even take the time to resolve the account and save it from having it to go to repo. These collectors would probably get further if they listened and tried to find the root of why a customer has fallen behind. No one ever wants to discuss their hardships.. but when you explain to a customer the benefit of speaking with you and explaining what is going on.. and that you may be able to assist them in some way .. they will talk to you and will be more willing to make arrangements and actually keep the arrangements. If a collector is harassing you or name calling you ask to speak to a manager, If you still don't get anywhere there write a letter. If you decide you don't want to get calls only correspondence write a letter asking them not to contact you via phone. By law they can not call you if you have requested it in writting. i have met some crazy collectors in my last 15 yrs. but they don't seem to last in one place that long. You as a customer have more rights thatn you can imagine. And while they are telling you that you are no good .. or what ever it is that they are saying please know this that they probably (and in most cases do) have worst credit than the customer. You can also complain with the the better business bureue. I came across this company by mistake while trying to find some information on another company. I hope this is of some help to some of you. more

I WAS AT WORK WHEN I GOT A CALL TELLING ME THEY WERE LOOKING FOR MY DAUGHTER AT ""MY JOB"" I EXPLAINED TO MARCO AT CIG MY DAUGHTER DID NOT WORK HERE AND DEFINETLY DID NOT LIVE WITH ME. HE BECAME HOSTILE AND JUDGED MY PARENTING SKILLS. HE SURE WAS FAR FROM PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE NEVER BEEN HARRASSED BY ANYBODY, CERTAINLY DIDN'T EXPECT IT AT MY JOB WHEN THIS ACCOUNT THEY WERE REFERRING TO HAD ""NOTHING"" TO DO WITH ME! MY DAUGHTER IS WELL INTO ADULTHOOD! Like the head line says they didn't admit to their mistake. Yolanda is her name, and they wouldn't fix it, i had to get the bank to give me a $300 credit until they (the bank) sorted it out. Of course it was right before payday and my last $300 also. Cons: they dont admit to their mistakes more

This company is the worse. I had asked for my car payment to be changed, and they told me that I only get one change. I said one of the employees changed it for me and she said it didn't matter. These people are very unprofessional. There has to be a way to take care of these issues. I asked to speak with the President and was told to send a letter addressed to the President. This is the worst company ever unfortinately I have two accounts w/them one is mine the other my boyfriends.They share account info with anyone they get ahold of,they also try to discuss my acount with my boyfriend and mine with him. If you are late a few days they are harassing you and every one of your refrences.One employee called me continuosly one day threatening to ""press charges on me because of what I told her"" i did say something regarding the hispanic race so to speak mind you I am hispanic and I never harassed or threatend her.Lol was she upset when I asked if she wanted my new address to serve me papers,because I would press charges the company for sharing info with anyone and for harassing me.When I tried to speak to a manager he wasn't avail.the only good thing,I was able to get in contact with the owner he took down every persons name that I had ever spoke to and gave me a direct number to another man who took care of everything he also asked for names and assured me that action will be taken and know he is the only person that my boyfriend and I ever talk to not any of those other unperfessional lil girls Cons: rude,unperfessional more
