Oh my gosh.. 5/27/2007

This is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta and I've been to MANY restaurants in Atlanta. There is something so wonderful about this place - I literally CRAVE their food. It's delicious!!! This place is wonderfully romantic and quiet - you feel like you are in your own little cozy cave - and the fireplaces add a very nice touch as well. Pros: Fireplaces, quiet, romantic, excellent food, the private upstairs seating Cons: Can't think of a thing! more

Budget Entree's! Average At Best! 1/30/2007

This is probably a great spot in trendy Buckhead, for the younger set that is still dating, on a budget. But Atlanta has many great other options, like those two on Cheshire Bridge Rd., for the real deal. And it's in the same price range. Parking always costs, on trendy Pharr Rd. Pros: Average Budget Italian! Cons: Parking Can Be Tight! more

Nice Experience 12/11/2006

I had large (17) dinner party here on a Saturday evening. The service was good. Our waiters were very attentive. The dishes were hit-and-miss?I got mixed reviews from the group. The rustic decor was pleasant. Overall, we enjoyed the experience Pros: service, ambience more

Great Customer Service 11/14/2006

Great Food, Wonderful Service. I went to the restaurant for the first time the other night and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff pitched in to make sure that we were taken care of. Shannon was a great server and very friendly. The food recomedations that she made were excellent! more

Romantic 10/4/2006

The restaurant itself was very romantic with the dim lighting and candle lit tables but the food was ok, nothing special. I'm a vegetarian and I usually never have a hard time finding something to eat at an Italian restaurant but I was struggling here. I think its a place you should try once. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: food more

great outside seating - affordable - romantic 9/24/2006

I enjoyed the Salmon and my date had the rissotto - both were fantastic - they do a great dinner salad thing with zuchinni holding the salad together - neat. Our wine was chilled very cold like we asked and quite affordable. Nice crowd and the wait staff was friendly. more

love this casual italian trattoria 6/19/2006

We consider ourselves rather picky and love Caio Bella. Have dined here many times and have never experienced anything even close to some of the complaints here. Love the outside patio when it's warm and the coziness of the inside in the winter, have always had good service and never been rushed. Food is very good and the atmosphere is casual. The menu is somewhat limited to traditional italian fare so if you're looking for a huge variety this might not be the place. We haven't visited in a while but are going tonight, will write again if anything has changed! Highly recommend for casual italian. more

2 visits--horrible service--had to walk out 5/28/2006

On the first visit, the service was poor despite a small crowd at the restaurant. We decided to wait about 8 months before returning. Tonight, a Sunday night, we were 2 of only 6 people at the restaurant. There was one waiter/host and a busboy. We were seated and a few minutes later saw the busyboy. No waiter. After about 5 minutes the busboy brought us water. No waiter. At 10 minutes--no waiter. We went inside only to find the waiter at the bar making a drink for the patron who just had entered the restaurant. He was rude when we mentioned that he had yet to come to our table after such a long wait. We walked out and ended up eating at Maggiano's and had a wonderful experience. I'd rather eat at a small. locally owned place, but, with such pitiful service it's not worth another attempt. Pros: location Cons: service, service, service more

Charming 5/23/2006

We ate here for our girls night out and it was so good I made my husband go back the next night for date night! The food was really good and as was our service, and the patio was great! I think ""Charming"" best sums up the whole experience. Pros: great atmoshere, helpful staff more

Led Zeppelin Blasting through the speakers 5/17/2006

I went on a date to this italian restaurant and was really disappointed. We were seated on the outdoor patio and were the only customers there. Over the sound system Led Zeppelin was blasting ! Now if there was any romantic atmosphere it was totally gone. The music was so loud that it really spoiled my dinner. I ordered Pasta with salmon and peas in a tomato cream sauce. There literally was no salmon in my pasta. I didn't see any, I didn't taste any, but it did seem like there was some type of texture in the pasta that could have been fish although it was almost non existent. It was not cheap, so there was no excuse. I would never go back to this restaurant. EVER!!! Pros: none, none, none Cons: food , service, uncaring owner more

NOT Group Friendly 5/5/2006

I went to ciao bella this past weekend with a group of about 10 and even though we had called well in advance to make reservations and warn them we were still treated as though we had the plague. Plates and glasses were taken away before anyone was done eating and the food was mediocre at best, with little flavor. The only highlight was the calamari -- it was passable. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for anything but a cute little building. more

Will never eat here again! 2/13/2006

At the door, the host told us they had several reservations that evening, and if we could keep our dinner to under 1 hour, we could stay!! He continually turned many patrons down at the door early on Sat. night, even though the restaurant was 75% EMPTY! Ciao Bella indeed. Out of hunger, we stayed and within that hour, the restaurant remained empty. Our appetizer came in under 5 minutes, our meals within 10 - at which point our half eaten appetizer was yanked from the table so fast, we could hardly realize what had happened. Our entrees were likewise yanked, we were repeatedly asked as we were EATING our meal, if we would like 'to go' boxes. If you don't have time to enjoy it, why go to Ciao Bella at all? You'll get a four star price for a mcdonald's drive thru experience! Cons: rude staff more

Very, very small and crowded. Limited menu. I was there with 5 people and we had to wait forever for a table. If you don't want pasta, your menu options are very limited. It is not very expensive - which is one of the few positives I can say about it. Pros: inexpensive Cons: limited menu, crowded more

Great First Date 2/21/2003

The ambience was romantic, great for a first date! The room was lit only by the candles on each table. The food was descent, but the service was outstanding! more

What Italians think of Ciao Bella 2/14/2003

Being that ALL of my family is from Sicilia and Calabria, we are very picky about Italian food when we dine out......especially the sauce! This place is run by 2 guys from Italy and they are wonderful! The food is wonderful - even the sauce! I highly recommend Ciao Bella Pros: Delicious, Friendly, Affordable Cons: no valet more

Candle Light Dinner 8/27/2002

This little Restaurant has an excellent atmostphere. The prices were reasonable and the staff were very professional. The only problem was that the restaurant got very loud. Pros: Lighting Cons: very loud crowd more

Great food 7/28/2002

The atmosphere is very intimate and the staff is cute and knowledgable. However, the best part of it all is the food. The halibut was the best I ever had. more

yum yum yum 6/26/2002

Tasty and authentic Italian menu. The staff was knowledgeable about their selections. The building is an old house with fireplaces and dark wood. Nice and cozy. more
