I waited a bit over three and a half months to post with a final verdict and I can easily say I am really glad to have chosen to have my eyes corrected here(after all, how many times will I be able to say that in the future! lol). The staff at Park Avenue Lasek were all really friendly, relaxed and professional. I had absolutely no pressure at all into getting any specific procedure done and they made sure I was a proper candidate and that I understood the process very well before I decided to go through with it all. They were extremely helpful with every step of the process, answered any questions I had and although they were a bit strict with us taking the precautions necessary afterwards, it has been well worth the result. They were also extremely flexible when it came to medical insurance and helped to make sure I got the best coverage possible for my medications. After 1 week, I went from seeing 20/80(had only 1 eye corrected) to 20/25. After two months, I have got 20/15 vision! I have absolutely no side effects like dryness or pain at all(at this point). Can't be more happy about that. It's been a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend Dr Chynn and his staff. Although Lasek is a bit more pricey than the traditional Lasik option, it's well worth the safety and the overall better result. more

I actually contacted Park Avenue Lasek by accident for a different eye procedure and I'm so glad I came across them! I ended up getting the procedure done elsewhere since Dr. Chynn was out of town, but then decided to move forward with getting laser eye surgery done here. Dr. Chynn and his staff know what they're talking about. Period. Every question I've asked has been met with nothing but professionalism and a genuine desire for me to have all the info I need. All the staff members are friendly and I personally love Dr. Chynn. People may not get his sense of humor and be offended, etc. but I actually love it and think he's super funny, which helped alleviate any anxiety I may have had about the procedure. He is very efficient and as a result, doesn't beat around the bush, which I definitely appreciate. p.s. What sealed the deal for me was the fact that Dr. Chynn PERFECTED this process. I mean, why go anywhere else when you can go directly to the person who perfected it? He does the surgery in a room that has glass walls, so that anyone walking outside can see it as well. Talk about super confident! That's what I would want from any doctor doing a serious procedure on me. more

LASEK is not the same as LASIK This is the only center in NY that exclusively performs only LASEK.the office staff will actually talk and will walk you through the process.they give a lot of stuff to read and force you to ask questions!The free consultation itself was about 30 mins long.They explain everything and everyone seems more interested in educating you about your vision.the MDs discuss and suggest the best rather than the most expensive package.Dr Chynn is constantly supervising keeping all the staff and the MDs on the edge. bladeless LASiK will still cut a flap with a laser unlike LASEK which doesnt.he uses the VISX laser for every procedure and all the patients are seen by MDs.they also had financing plans.My friend went from being legally blind to being legal to drive just after her procedure.I highly recommend this place if you do not want to get your eyeballs sliced. The little premium is absolutely worth for the extra care and personal touch that Dr Chynn provides. more

have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Park Avenue L asek. It is the only office to offer exclusive L ASEK vision correction as well as unique HD vision via their SafeSight non-cutting technique. From my first initial consultation down to my graduation all went smooth and i have absolutely no complaints ! Dr Chynn addressed all my concerns and assured me that all would be fine. The patient care and concern they have here in superior to all the rest. Because I was only able to have the surgery in one eye, I chose the gold package for my left eye. Other centers wouldn't even consider helping me because my right eye has this weird ocular condition called KC, but Dr. Chynn took all of the necessary precautions and deemed that my left eye was safe to do!!! I am SO grateful that Dr. Chynn didn't blow me off like all of the other laser vision centers I went to, he was my only hope to be glasses free@!! The surgery was quick, painless and was completely invasive, did not involve any cutting at all! If I had undergone L ASIK surgery instead, I would constantly be worrying about the open flap on my eye. But here, no worries! Healing time was the only downside since i had to keep my eyes closed, but was well worth the boredom because my eyes healed properly and fast ! I would recommend this surgery to anyone that wears glasses and is ready to be free of that ! The value of being able to see the world in a clearer way cannot be matched anywhere else. Lots of people coming in and out of the office all the time, sometimes long waits, but once you're in with Dr. Chynn , he's extremely patient, knowledgeable, professional and personable. Lasik totally changed my life. I would highly recommend it to anyone. more

This was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. I have sharp vision without glasses. The surgery was quick and there was minimal discomfort. My apologies for the delay, but I wanted to wait a few months to see the outcome of the surgery before writing this note to you. Despite my conversations with her, I was not sure exactly how well my wife can see now, so I wanted her to have a regular checkup by an optometrist. He examined her and concluded that no further correction is required. Her eyes are now at 0. Remember how poor her vision was before you performed surgery? She had -19, virtually “uncorrectable.” more
