It was mainly because of the way you were heavily recruited to be on staff or in the Sea Org at only 15 years old. I wanted you both to stay in school and get a full education. I found very friendly and helpful people here with no intention to enforce anything on me, just sincere personal interest in what I wanted out of life. Attacks are way out of date and sensationalist at any rate - not accurate. Critics are the ones trying to make money, not this group! Although the beliefs epsoused by many members may seem laughable, teh Chuch of Scientology is no joke. it is ultimately a pay-to-pray organization that is extremely difficult to extricate oneself from. Members pay great deals of money to audit classes which are geared towards brainwashing them for multiple lifetimes of servitude. Critics are silenced with mob-style tactics, and frvolous lawsuits. People who are vulnerable and desperatre are targeted for membership, and things that could help them (therapy, medications, support from people outside the organization) are demonized.\r \r Do your research, tell your friends and family, stay away, and treat current members with care and concern.
