Chris Croy Photographer

Hired Chris to do the video and photography for our summer wedding. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. We finally got our photos, video and album six months after the wedding date and that was with much follow up on our part. In eight hours, only 400 images were taken. So many photo opportunities were missed such as a picture of the groom as the bride walks in, our rings, images of our guests (there are NONE), our mc's, one was my brother. It's like no one else other than the wedding party existed or attended our wedding. If that's all your going to take pictures of, then you need to take a lot more usable and creative photos. There were only two images of me walking down the aisle with my father and two of my husband and I walking down the aisle. This alone is unacceptable considering the size of the aisle and the images that were taken were nothing special. I've been tagged in facebook photographs that look 100x better than the ones Chris took. We don't even have any photos of our reception venue indicating where the reception took place. Although we hired a photographer and videographer, we received a photographer and an incompetent assistant. The other photographer-videographer that went to take pictures and video of the groom and groomsmen before the wedding was useless. There is no video footage from this time and no good images of the groom getting ready with his groomsmen. What a huge waste of money. The end products were not at all creative or original. There are no images that we absolutely love. When I saw the video for the first time, I had to say, are you kidding me?! In our wedding video Chris thought it would be a good idea to put in, me saying during the service ""If I sit, you sit too"" when I was not feeling well. He also decided to include one of the priests asking if I needed water... WTH? There is even a part where I am rolling my eyes in our wedding video. Unbelievable. We thought we were hiring the best. What a joke. It's so sad that there are so many images missing that we thought our wedding photographer of 10+ years would take. Of all the wedding vendors we had to communicate with, Chris is the absolute worst. He never returns calls or emails. I had to write on his facebook wall to email me back multiple times. It was the only way I would get a response from him. I would never recommend Chris to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I would never want someone else to be as disappointed as I was with a photographer not being able to capture our once in a lifetime moments. Moments we can never get back or do over and which we have no photos or video of. more

We upgraded to the higher package because he said he was able to personally shoot our wedding. The day before (yes the day before) our wedding he called and said he couldn't do it because he hurt his knee. We were ok with it because you can't help it. We got one photographer who was good but we noticed she was taking her time getting downtown and trying to avoid the courthouse area. Then when we were looking at our pictures we noticed someone else who got married on that day and we called to see who photographed the wedding and Chris said he did and of course it was in the courthouse area. So he lied to us to probably get another couple to do the upgraded package. We tried to set up a meeting to discuss issues but he just blew us off. NOT good customer service. After you sign the contract the customer service goes downhill and he takes forever to call you back. Pros: Decent Pictures Cons: Liar more

I purchased some Photography equipment from Chris on CraigsList. When the product arrived It was short one item. I notified Chris of this problem and he stated ""On Thu, Feb 25, 2010 at 2:39 PM, Chris Croy wrote: I will double check - if it was not in the box well I believe you. I will send it right away. If I can't find it I will send you a check for $15. Chris"" I have called him several times and sent several email's and as of May 8 I haven't seen a response or the check. It took 11months to get my album and I still had to send it back to have the cover picture replaced. He would never return calls or emails and when he did acted as if he was annoyed and that he was being bothered. We spent way too much money to be treated this way. more

Chris has a great talent for photography and knows his work; however, his customer service skills are at minimal at its best. He did not return our phone calls when we called him and we still do not have our wedding album (5 months after wedding). He is a very nice guy and very talented, but does not know what customer satisfaction means. I would NOT recommend Chris Croy Photography for your wedding. more

Chris has been doing my family photos for 14 years and I love the next one as much as the old ones. I love how Chris can capture each one of my children's personalites through his pictures. I feel very blessed to have his talent hanging on lots of my walls in my house. You will not be disappointed with Chris Croy!!! Pros: great pictures, tons of talent given to each picture more

My friend just told me about this site and the two bad reviews so I had to comment! Chris and his staff were wonderful to work with! My album is BEYOND beautiful! I will say that we were slow in picking a cover image for our album so we ordered it in the middle of October. It took 2 extra weeks, but that was OUR fault, not his. They are a small business, so if you call them on a Saturday they may not call you back until Monday or Tuesday. We are currently expecting a baby and look forward to having Chris do a ""Year in the Life"" session. A friend of mine just had Chris do their son's Senior session. I know 6 people who have used Chris and we all love him! Each wedding album is spectacular but unique. He is so easy going and just great to work with!!! His new cutting edge fusion product is beyond words. He really captured our love for life and each other. I just saw him on facebook and he is doing some AMAZING senior work too. Very sorry to say our daughter had a beautiful wedding at the DeMenill Mansion Sept. 3, 2005. After 7 months we finally received CD's with pictures, and it is now 9 months and we STILL DO NOT HAVE a wedding album; however he was paid in full in advance! NOT recommended, and extremely disappointed. more
