    Michelle Serlin, MSW/LMSW,
Executive Director has a down to earth and direct way of accentuating your strengths to join
with you in making changes and healing.  She believes in being a survivor rather than a victim of life circumstances.  Michelleholds a Master's degree in Social Work from Western Michigan
University. Michelle founded Choices for Change in 1991, a clinic which employs
    outside-the-box therapies and tries experiential and innovative solutions;
working to make the therapy fit you rather then you fit the therapy. Michelle
is the current owner and executive director.
has a unique blend of experiences spanning almost three decades and gained from
working with individuals, couples, groups, and families. Michelle is a
strength-based, solution-focused therapist who likes to employ many different
therapeutic approaches, including: Gestalt techniques, children's play
strategies, and Claudia Black addictions interventions.
Michelle has worked with clients of all
ages and all issues, including:  addictions,
abuse, relationship issues, and couples therapy. Michelle is willing to work
with clients in homes and the schools. During the past eight years, Michelle
has led many groups in the schools and developed a program working with
emotionally troubled teens on difficult behavior. Michelle believes “the best
gift of performing therapy is people trusting you enough to share their most
intimate experiences and helping them to grow.  Actually, you are selling people on themselves.  The best reward is knowing that -- with our
clients -- we are a part of the solution rather than the problem.”
