Founded in 1984 by former Whatcom County Superior Court Judge Steve Mura, Chmelik Sitkin & Davis P.S. is a Northwest Washington law firm based in Bellingham. In 1987, Frank Chmelik joined Mr. Mura after extensive trial experience as a U.S. Army JAG Corps officer and an associate position at a large Seattle law firm. Together, Mr. Mura and Mr. Chmelik established the superior standards that became the firms foundation for the next 30 years. In 1993, Richard Davis left one of Seattles largest law firms to join the firm and expand the range of legal services. In 1998, Jon Sitkin, a well-established real estate and land use attorney, joined the firm, and the principals adopted the name Chmelik Sitkin & Davis P.S. Katherine Deets became a principal of the firm in 2012 and she continues to expand the firms estate planning and probate practice. In 2014 Seth Woolson became a principal, further strengthening the firms construction, real estate and litigation practices
