Last night, I had the distinct displeasure of ordering take-out from this restaurant! Fried wonton ... frozen, highly processed and fried to a rock hard consistency... completely inedible. Shrimp toast.. greasy and tasteless... clearly no shrimp, but a synthetic substitute. Finally, the egg drop soup which mysteriously became wonton soup was a tasteless concoction that I was unable to consume. Word to the wise... avoid New China Town Express and order take out from somewhere else. BTW, living only five minutes from this establishment, I had no desire to return the food and complain. I simply dumped it. more

Ive lived in Raleigh for 8 years this is one of a few chinese food places nearby. I often get my food at my door within 15 minutes, Tastewise Its no better or worse then any place else in town but the service is great. Prices are reasonable and they have by far my favorite crab rangoon in Raleigh. Pros: super fast delivery, great crab rangoon Cons: most dishes are average to good more

I wish I had read the reviews before we chose to order from this restaurant. I would have known better than to have tried this place and experience my daughter flipping out when she came across the nasty well-cooked insect that was in her food. In addition, up until finding the insect we found the food to be bland and not at all the quality we are used to, having just relocated to the area. If I could give a ""no star"" rating I would. We reported the insect to them and they offered to replace it or give us $3 toward our next purchase--AS IF we'll be purchasing anything else there. The ""boss"" came out and looked at the food, suggested something without brocolli in it because it was probably due to the brocolli! He promised to refund the money and he took the food with him. Nothing special here...doesnt make it a 5, but certainly worthy of a visit if you are looking for convenience. We enjoy the general sao chicken ...they do cost a little more than average, but at least the food is good. Pros: good hot food delivered quickly Cons: dark seating area...not very inviting more

This is a good restaurant.We have ordered from here so many times and i really like their food.Their gen tsao chicken is good, what even makes it better is that the hot sauce comes separately so u can adjust the taste if u want it spicy or not. more

the food is comparable to low grade dog food, and it is kind of pricy for the terrible quality. do yourself a favor, dont go! more

If you like cashew chicken dont get it here. What you'll get is celery - 80-90% by volume will be celery. When I called them about it, I was told that's the way we make it. (If you don't like it, tough.) Cons: rip off more
