They seem great until you plunk down $7000 for a hot tub and then they don't service it. They don't return calls, or get you scheduled in a reasonable amount of time, and they miss over half their appointments, and then they don't fix the hot tub. Reviews I just read on other sites indicate they are the same for fireplaces, too. \r \r Cam, the manager, provides only excuses about his staff, and then wines that he works 80 hours per week, and only makes $20K. \r \r Don't get fooled by the sales stuff. I called them 6 months ago to tell them about an issue, and after following up with them diligently and politely for six months, they charged me $1200 to get my hot tub still not working. \r \r Cam claimed that they are better with fireplaces, and spas is just a small part of their business. I'm guessing they tell their fireplace clients just the opposite. Steer clear! more

awful customer service 3/8/2012

I totally agree with""East Wenatchee"" too.They have the worst customer service around. They tell you one thing and don't do it. I have ran back to the store for a part for my fireplace a couple times, telling me they would have it ready to pick up and when I get there they give me an excuse they don't have it. Don't wait for a call from them either. I think they try to forget you. I called the owner and now he is telling me that""I lost the part"" that was never in the delivery. He more or less told me he wasn't going to resolve the problem or give me my money back. I will never go back to this store and I will tell friends to stay clear of it unless you want bad customer service and frustration. more

Had some problems with the people from Chim Chimney, but they went out of their way to fix the problems and make us happy. Good customer service. Thank you. more

Poor Business Practice 2/23/2012

I totally agree with ""East Wenatchee"" in its critique of Chim Chimney. I purchased a spa there for over $7,000. Their customer service was terrible. In his ""effort"" to instruct me on the use of chemicals, the salesman appeared to be in a hurry and showed up first thing in the morning. In addition to this he charged me $65+ for the ""starter kit"" (I thought this would have been included as a courtesy of purchasing a new unit). Also, a cover lift was not part of the purchase as well. I think you will find these included at competitors. Since I was so upset, I ordered a lift directly from the manufacturer in Woodinville. I later called (no answer) and then emailed the company to question them on this. Following this the salesman responded (phone) and told me that chemical starter kits are not included in the sale of a new spa. I asked him why he didn't tell me this beforehand...he claims that he did, but he did NOT. They also took 2 months to mail me the final invoice (unit price and chemicals), and then sent me 17 copies! Poor business practice if you ask me. This is why I'm taking my business elsewhere. more


This place has terrible customer service once the sale is made. Installment was horrible, our entire basement smells like smoke, its permanent as we have not been able to use the fireplaces, the handle broke off the downstairs fireplace the first time we tried to use/open it. Now it wont open at all. The upstairs fireplace handles are also defective, we've called on this after installment, nothing has been done. They measured our fireplaces wrong and ordered the wrong fireplace, had to then order a bigger fireplace which after installment we were told was over $4,000.00 MORE. Of course we dont have an extra 4 grand lying around, but they will not fix their mistakes unitl we are paid in full. However we are in the position we are in BECAUSE they measured wrong in the first place! Had we known the true price of these two fireplaces (we had already paid almost $13,000.00, they wanted well over 4,000 more) we would have never bought them from Chim Chimney. We were warned before we ever did business with them, and we should have heeded that warning. We regret doing business with Chim Chimney. We've had no work for 6 months, no fire places in the coldest part of winter, Our basement smells like a forest fire, our childrens clothes smell like smoke, but they wont come do anything until they get their last $1300.00 it just rediculous. They've gotten over $12,000.00 from us so far, but because we cannot come up with the rest, which is now less than $1500.00 dollars, They will not fix anything that came from their store! It shows exactly what kind of customer service they give! All they care about is taking peoples money, not taking care of their customers after they gave them business. I also posted a review on their Facebook page yesterday, Paul McNeill responded to me today with ""we will fix your fireplace with no questions asked as soon as your balance that is over 16 months old is paid. After that no problem on fixing the handles. Im sure you understand."" LOL, yes....I understand you didnt do your job right in the begining,and now we are paying the price. Trust me, do not do business with Wenatchee Chim Chimney, they do not care about their customers. He then blocked their facebook page. Isnt that great customer service? Never again....lesson learned. Stay clear, obviously nothing has changed.\r \r more
