The wings here were pretty good. Other than that the food was almost inedible. more

The food was terrible. The green papaya salad was especially bad, inedible, even; it tasted as if it contained bleach (and I have ordered green papaya salad from any number of Thai restaurants in the Boston area). The pork in the broccoli with pork was tough, dry, and stringy. The "mildly spicy" beef and udon noodles was "wildly spicy" instead. All in all, a great disappointment: I will never order from this restaurant again. more

First time customer 4/23/2009

I ran over to this place today for lunch for the first time. I have no idea how a Thai place can get Pad Thai soooo Pros: Now I know better than to ever go back Cons: food tasted like it came from a basement more

Rude waitstaff that demands a 20% tip 9/4/2008

Used to enjoy this place on occasion, but had a bad experience with a waitress who demanded a 20% tip. A friend and I paid individually and made an honest mistake. She could've pointed it out and asked if this was what we meant to put down. I would've gladly made the correction. Because she was demanding and rude about it, I was completely turned off and refuse to go back: There are better restaurants with polite wait staff who don't feel so entitled. Last i checked, tips were based on service and at the discretion of the customer. Pros: prices Cons: bad service more

I've eaten at Chilli Duck before. Food tasted better at the restaurant vs. delivery (could be because it wasn't steaming hot by the time it arrived). But I'd likely order again out of ease.\r \r Delivery took about 45 mins, as estimated by Grub Hub.\r \r Good overall more

doable 4/12/2008

had better, but it's doable. prices are reasonable for a joint that's located in the middle of the city. still like penang's (chinatown) satay better, though. Pros: fewer people = less wait! Cons: parking could be difficult more

i was visiting boston for a long weekend, and, after walking my feet off to see the sights, thought to order in thai food. mistake. Pros: they deliver to your hotel Cons: but the food is so bad it might be better to go out more

Our favorite restaurant!!! 5/11/2006

Since moving to Boston 3.5 years ago, we probably go to Chilli Duck once every two weeks. It is AWESOME. Everything on the menu is great - we particularly like the papaya salad, chicken satays, chilli duck, and hot basil dishes. :) more

a basement is a basement 8/13/2005

I tried their signature dish, Chilli Duck. It was just terrible. The duck was too chewy. The sauce was just nasty. I couldn't eat, but the waitstaff did not concern. Well, I paid, and left without finishing 1/3 of the portion. Cons: improve food, improve service more

Good Eats 9/14/2004

Went here for the first time after passing through before. I had the Pad-Se-Iew Noodles, which was absolutely delicious. The servings were good even for take-out and I didn't have to wait too long. I like how all the dishes are delicately garnish, it makes eating the food so much appealing. I have to go back and try the other dishes with such a variety. Prices are reasonable and I would definitely recommend this Thai restaurant as a gem. Pros: Inexpensive, courteous, friendly Cons: , small interior more

Jack Talk Thai For This Place! 12/21/2003

I have been living in Boston for five years and was looking for an awesome Thai restaurant until just recently when I found this place!! The food is by far the best and they offer free delivery and takeout which makes this place truly a gem. I recommend any of the duck dishes (the chili duck is alittle too spicy for me), and the Drunken Noodle dish is to die for. Standards like Pad Thai, spring rolls, tempura are above par as well. Prices are alittle more expensive than some other places that say they serve authentic Thai, but very worth spending an extra couple of bucks. more

They have the best green curry I've ever had. Wait staff very friendly. more
