Yes, this company is SO bad that I feel compelled to warn everyone about them. Avoid Chicago Graystone/Castlebar Enterprises at all costs, and tell your friends, too. Their services are horrendous and their professional ethics are non-existant.\r
My friend and I recently fell in love with an apartment we found via a Graystone Craigslist listing. We viewed the place and called the next day to put in an offer. That's where the problem began. Like most people on here, CG has no professional communication skills whatsoever. You call and no one answers. They say they'll call you back Monday evening, you hear back Tuesday morning. Nice. We were willing to do whatever it took to sign a lease as soon as possible. When we finally did get ahold of somebody at CG (we talked to three incompetent employees - Alexia, Melissa, and Carlos) we were told by nearly each of them that they weren't showing the apartment so not to worry about rushing and that we could settle the app fees and security deposits the next day. Well, come to find out, someone else looked at the place the very same day and signed the app papers, paid the money, and CG gave the apartment to them, even though we told them we wanted it and would pay at any time. They never told us there was a critical time frame and to hurry on the deal and in fact lied to us when they said no one was looking at it. They went behind our backs and gave it to other renters simply because they had a quicker move-in date. They screwed us over royally and am still very irritated and annoyed with the company. I advise everyone to use ANY OTHER APT FINDING COMPANY over going through these people. They are incompetent, they are unprofessional, and they do not care about their ""customers""....they care about their lunch time.\r
Isn't it time to fire Alexia? She's rude, slow, and apparently sends her minions to do all of her work. Can I have her job?\r
Stay away from them, and spread the word.
Cons: Lazy employees, no professional ethics, no communication, deceptive practices
