Worst

Cheesecake Factory is highly overrated. The french fries are thin, dried out slivers, and are sometimes burnt. The rest of the menu is pretentious, like ""garlic smashed potatoes"...

Depends on What U are looking for 9/5/2011

If you are in the market for average food at high prices, given the quality. If you like really loud noisy eating establishments. If incredibly slow service (polite enough, just incredibly slow--31/2 hours to get through lunch, starting with a 45 minute wait for a table). If you like to sit in an environment with people texting others and not talking to each other. If you like lunch with more than a full day's worth of calories. If you like cheese cake at 1,000 calories a slice. Then, you will really love this place. Sucks for me though. more

lots of empty seats had to wait 3/25/2011

I've been going to this place for over 6 years because of quality of food. But I must say their service declined a great deal. more

Loud, Unconfortable seating arrangements and managers who don' t care 11/19/2008

Worst dining experience. its quieter and nicer at mcdonalds. I went in at lunch with my wife and was seated in a row of tables that had a long bench seat for the one side of all the tables . the tables were crammed together for maximum profit, but not for diners comfort. They were only 12-14 inches apart and you could not have a private conversation. This last table was also right next to the kitchen and dish handling area. Which added a whole other level of loud noise. between all the diners trying to talk loud enough to be heard over the kitchen noise you gave up on having a conversation. Pros: Good menu Cons: Over hyped. they feel too confident to care when a diner has a bad experience. more

Great menu & service 7/25/2006

Got seated right away on a Friday night by arriving at 5:30 p.m. Service is excellent. Refills arrived promptly. Something for everyone on the menu. Pros: great service, large menu, something for everyone Cons: may have to wait for a long time during busy meal times. no reservations more

Worth the Wait! 1/16/2006

On a saturday afternoon, expect to wait 45minutes for a table (or longer)!!! The wait would be much more enjoyable if the seating alert system worked throughout the mall. Then everyone wouldn't have to crowd in the already tiny waiting area!!! This was my second visit and each time the food has been WONDERFUL (Suggestions: Parmesan and Romano Crusting Chicken, and the St. Louis Pasta Dish)!!! The desert is also wonderful!!! The service is average. If it weren't for the great food we would probably not go there, but the food is that good!!! Pros: Menu Selection & Food, Cheesecake Cons: Long Table Waits more

not just cheescake 9/6/2004

My husban and I went here, i thought it was only going to be cheesecakes to eat! The waiter was great, the food was WOW! It really filled us up and then some! the colors in the place were soothing and intimate. the food was flavorful, and although it is located in a mall, it was quiet. we are going back this week end on a ""date"". Pros: good price, nice proportions, cozy Cons: , mall parking lot more

Do not book for birthdays 5/29/2004

Once I planned a birthday party for a friend and told people to meet around 6-6:30 at the cheesecake factory. I invited over 20 people.Everyone did not show up at the same time. We were not allowed to sit down at a table until every last person arrived. This was ridiculous and ruined the whole party. One person was elderly and had to wait also no seat was offered to him until everyone arrived. I will never ever have a party of more than one again at the Cheesecake factory. Very poor service. Pros: good food, pretty decor, other places to go Cons: , no reservations, not understanding more

Tried it twice, won't be back 7/15/2003

First visit, we were there for 3 hours. And not because we were enjoying ourselves. After horrid service and no refills on sodas, the best they could offer was a BROWNIE. Second visit, different town. It was just noisy and overpriced. Pros: variety Cons: poor service, long waits, crowded more

The best! 5/15/2003

Best food in the city in my opinion. Try the Big Five pizza (if youre not too hungry, share it with a friend) but leave room for dessert. The triple chocolate mousse cake is probably the best buy for your money, you get even more of it than you can get of any single piece of cheesecake! a little expensive, but if you share with a friend, it is worth it Pros: Good food, great ice cream, wonderful cakes! Cons: crowded on weekends, costly more

Yum 1/25/2003

Great lunch and dinner selection. Salads are excellent. Leave room for dessert or take it home. Pros: salads, vegetarien friendly Cons: long wait more

Eater's Vote 1/13/2003

I love everything about this place. The food is wonderful, the cheesecake is the best that I've ever eaten! more

oh yeah 11/12/2002

This place is worth the wait on the weekends but I've heard that through the week it is easier to get a table. Pros: Great food, large portions Cons: Long lines on weekend more

costliest, slowest fast-food in town! 11/11/2002

Cheesecake Factory is highly overrated. The french fries are thin, dried out slivers, and are sometimes burnt. The rest of the menu is pretentious, like ""garlic smashed potatoes"", etc., overpriced, and under par for the price level. Smashed potatoes have no place on a $20 plate! The cheesecake is good, but $7.00 a slice. You can pick up the entire Cheesecake Factory cheesecake at Sam's Club for about $12.00! Service, however, is usually very good, and generally much better than the food items with exotic-sounding names. But then again, we Americans always pay more attention to fluff than to substance. There are better choices downtown Indy, like ""Palomino"", etc., for the kind of money you may want to spend. Pros: service, location, atmosphere Cons: bad food preparation, grossly overpriced, fast-food quality more

Heck yeah 11/11/2002

This definitely one of the best chain restaurants in Indy...before I went, I thought they only served cheesecake, but they have one of the most vast, extensive menus ad. Expect to pay around 70 for two people, but an it is gooooooood. Pros: Menu, Food, DESSERT!!!! Cons: parking, Location, Crowded more

Yummy!!! 8/9/2002

While some people may take a second look at the prices, I believe it is definately worth it. We always take home leftovers so its really like not having to cook two meals in a row. more

pricey but good 7/29/2002

The food at the cheesecake is very good, but a little on the expensive side. For a family of 4 we spent over $80.00 with only 2 slices of cheesecake. more

I love the Cheesecake Factory!! 7/22/2002

Cheesecake Factory is definitely one of my favorites! I love the scenery, food, service and everything else on top of that. The only bad thing is the long waits, especially on the weekends, but it is always worth it! Pros: Great Food, Huge Portions, Nice Atmosphere Cons: Crowded more
