Took my mother there for her 60th birthday and she found a piece of plastic in her fish. more

Restruamt smelled musty when we walked in so we sat outside, we couldn't reach the top row of the three level salad bar so had to be asked for service, waiters argued over sections or alternating customers and then seemed to trip over each other, while a third waiter bragged he was special for Ritz referals, food was well prepared and served, would return, good value more

Service is great, food all right. The only thing going for this place is there fresh fish. It's to corporate, over priced. It's all Sysco food except the fish probably from North Star or some other great provider. Besides better off cooking your own stuff. more

Underwhelming! Great view Good service I went for brunch and I would not recomend it or would I ever go back. Brunch consist of four different kinds of eggs bennidict and one kind of French toast. All of which were $25 bucks each. The food was flavorless and to be honest I would have had a better meal at Denny's. The brunch does come with a mediocre salad bar that is designed so you can't reach a third of it. We also had tge mango, crab and avacodo stack. Very pretty but it was as bland as could be. Should have went to the Biltmore Hotel for brunch. It's a hundred dollars a plate but it is so amazing. more

Looks like Mr Pumpkin Gnocchi is a vengeful ex employee, I have been eating here for the past 11 years or so and not one time did I not regret it, as a matter of fact I would start planning my next visit, the food here is really good, especially their signature dish Snapper Hemingway, the steaks are good too they are aged, my wife loves the Salmon, the Lobster Bisque is one of the best that I have ever tasted!, as for the best seats in the house, well any table that is next to a window is great, but I will tell you this, if you want a spectacular sunset view right on the bay, sit outside more

Great Seafood, Slow Service Sometimes... 2/4/2011

We stop by this restaurant for seafood probably once a month. Our favorite appetizers are the crab cakes, fried calamari and baked salmon salad. It's not as bad as the reviews say, but I would have to say the service is a little slow at times. more

I must report though........my experience was delightful.\r Michele came through with personalized birthday menus and great table by the window overlooking the water. Our server Tina provided us with service perfection. WAITING Just WAITING !!! 12/12/2010

12/12/10 SOOOO BAD!!! by boemery at CitysearchIt's been a long time since I'd been there, and it's a beautiful location, but omG! It was awful. The food came out in 'pieces', b/c it appeared that the bartender was serving the food as well as drinks (we were in the lounge dining) we order 2 sunday brunch only one came and the other the waiter said sorry you did not order we tell him yes but he said sorry I order know well it was to late the wait for just water and bred 20 minutes that is to long and the wors is the attitud of the waiter and the hole team they are not happy working for this veautifule place poor managment t wasn't bad enough, because we were left waiting so long, I didn't order what I wanted i order expreso, and it took 20 minutes to get the dessert anyway. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours, and that didn't include any 'drinking' or 'appetizer' time, just WAITING! I will never go back there again! I'd rather eat at Scotty's Landing, you can't really screw up fried food, and you don't drop a fortune. And at the end the waiter said why we did not tip him he ask again so we told him we whant to talkj to the manager and he said no that is ok. THE SERVICE IS SO BAD I WILL NEVER RECOMENT IT TO NO ONE.\r more

SOOOO BAD!!! 9/15/2010

It's been a long time since I'd been there, and it's a beautiful location, but omG! It was awful. The food came out in 'pieces', b/c it appeared that the bartender was serving the food as well as drinks (we were in the lounge dining) Not only that, but for some unknown reason, there was a girl performing at the entrance to the restaurant, and no offense, but I felt like I was at a 60th High school reunion with how she sounded. As if all that wasn't bad enough, because we were left waiting so long, I didn't order what I wanted (lava cake - takes 20 minutes), I ordered the apple crumb dessert and it came back cold and the apples hard, and it took 20 minutes to get the dessert anyway. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours, and that didn't include any 'drinking' or 'appetizer' time, just WAITING! I will never go back there again! I should have read the reviews. We were a party of 7, arrived at 7:30 and sat down at8:00. We had reservations too. The waiter seemed bothered by us. He was rushing us to order and kept leaving . We ordered 5 appetizers which were good but then it took an hour to bring our dinners. They brought six and forgot one. The food was cold but we were so bothered we just wanted to eat and run. My friend ordered seared ahi tuna which es more like medium but it was cold as a wet fish. He sent it back but instead of giving him a new one they actually microwaved it!!!! Needless to say he refused it. We waited for mud pies which came as mud. Totally inedible. Shame because it is a beautiful place but for the money you pay it is beyond awful!! Don't go there for you will surely be disappointed!!! more

Chart House Restaurant 4/27/2010

My husband made reservations for our anniversary, as we were married at the Chart House several years ago. I checked reviews on this website the day before our reservation. I found several bad reviews, but we still decided to go. We were so glad that we did. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our server immediately came over to take our drink order. She came back with drinks right away & took our appetizer and main course order. Our appetizers did not take long and our main course was served immediately after we finished the appetizers. The food was spectacular and the service was excellent. We will recommend the restaurant to our friends and family and will definitely be going back. Pros: Great food, service and ambiance Cons: Found none more

Disappointing 2/14/2010

I thought this would be good swafood. Wrong. A big disappointment. Seem like nothing was fresh. Only the salad was ok. My fish was dry. Potato was not hot. Server was not paying attention even that the restaurant was not busy. Too bad because I love fish, just not here. Pros: location Cons: food more

Has lost it's touch. Avoid at all cost 2/9/2010

I went to the chart house last evening with my girlfriend and I can promise you we will not be returning. The restaurant was empty so our reservation definitely was not needed. After we were seated it was a good 10 minutes before a server asked if we had been helped. My girlfriend had the crab stuffed shrimp and I had the ahi tuna. My fish was not properly cooked, my asparagus was cooked to the point that it was mush and stingy, and then my green beans were hardly cooked at all and hard as rocks! The whole evening felt like we were waiting on our server. Extremely slow, empty glasses, the whole 9 yards. As someone who put himself through college and grad school working in restaurants this establishment has forgotten all the basics. The highlights of the evening were the delicious dessert and the valet was very fast. What used to be a hot spot is now coasting on a reputation and letting whats important fall through the cracks. On a night where the whole restaurant has maybe 7 full tables, the management should be doing table side visits and ensuring the everything is running as it should. If you have any questions, feel free to email me julian701@yahoo Pros: The chocolate dessert Cons: Service, Food (Whats really important) more

I worked here, need I say more?\r The food is terrible. I have friends who work there, and I don't want to jeopardize their job so....\r Stick to what you know, rite?\r Lobster Bisque, made with sherry and lobster chunks.\r Crab Cakes- Large chunks of crab mixed with peppers.\r Ahi-Tuna. lightly seared with great spices\r Chocolate Lava Cake... molten chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.\r \r Their seasonal menu is usually okay, especially around thanksgiving. \r \r Stay away from-\r "it's similar to an oscar sauce" you will regret this.\r Crab, Avocado mango stack\r \r Best think about the Chart House, THE VIEW.\r Most tables have a spectacular view, the best one is in table 25, trust me. The only down side is the noise from the kitchen, otherwise outside if it's not too chilly. more
