Make The Visitor Center Your First Stop In Charleston! 9/12/2006

The Charleston Visitor's Center is a great place to go if you are not sure what you want to do while visiting Charleston. There is a huge variety of brochures , maps, restaurant coupons, and a helpful staff to answer any questions you may have or give recommendations. Still not sure what to do? You can always book a tour that leaves from the Visitor and will take you all over Charleston for a "preview" of Charleston attractions. So, make the Charleston Visitor's center your first stop when you arrive! http://www.charlestoncvb.com/ more

great place to find out tourist info and park 9/11/2005

The Charleston Visitor center should be your first stop if you are visiting downtown Charleston and have never been before. They can give you flyers and even coupons, etc. on attractions. Also, one of the most important things is that you can PARK there! Downtown Charleston is all FEE parking or parking garages (except street parking is free on Sunday's in most areas). If you decide to do a walking tour, etc. you sure don't want to be rushing back to your car to add change to the meter. You can park at the visitor center parking garage for a very low fee and get attraction tickets, etc. I am local and we still park there on occasion just to avoid the street parking. more
