I love Changos :D I can't give them less than 5 stars

WTF? Seriously? 11/16/2010

Seriously, my tacos was just thrown together in a half-assed manner. Toss in some potatoes(which were still kinda hard and had the skin on) and a few chunks of bacon, cold cheese and charge $2.17.\r \r Save your money and go across the street to El Patio...sucks they don't open before 11am though. more

best burrito I've ever had 9/15/2010

I love Changos :D I can't give them less than 5 stars more

maybe not 12/28/2009

I ordered tacos, chips, and queso; simple stuff and I had to add salt to everything! Does not compare to other places that sell tacos in Austin. Disappointing... Pros: Friendly staff, fast service, clean environment Cons: Tasteless food more

Wow! 2/19/2009

This location is close to where I work, so I frequent it the most. The food is always consistent and good. Always feels like a healthier choice for me. Great new combo prices. Their horchata is the best, and they make it from scratch. more

best taqueria. 2/10/2009

Great tacos, big burritos, tasty aguas frescas, that is all I need. Changos you are a nice place to enjoy a good meal... more

Unsafe food - bad attitude! 9/26/2007

I bought two burritos and put one in the fridge for lunch. The first was fine, if unremarkable... a sin in a city with such good Mexican food. But the second (guacamole jumbo) was INEDIBLE when I took it out 2 days later. The tomatoes throughout had gone totally bad.\r \r This was a health hazard, so I went back to the restaurant. The manager never took me seriously, acting like I'd left it out or was trying to return a new car a year after I bought it. He said even fresh tomatoes go bad fast, everything made fresh every day, etc. I said everyone makes mistakes. I told him if you take a fresh tomato, slice it, and throw it in the fridge, it ain't gonna go bad in 2 days. No way. He finally offered a replacement (""what do you want? if you want another one I'll give you another one"") but the next customer was getting impatient and I gave up.\r \r Stay away! Bad food can make you very very sick! And the attitude doesn't bode well for the product quality. Pros: Location Cons: Unsafe food, questionable attitude, bad reputation more

Fish tacos + mango slushee= Crazy Delicious! 4/10/2006

Best value in town for fast handmade food. Plenty of different drinks to match your mood for the day ie 3-4 agua frescas, tropical drinks, cervesa, pomegrate margarita. Fish tacos are awesome. Atmosphere is cool and trendy yet comfy. WiFi a major plus. My favorite cheap restaurant. Pros: Inexpensive, Delicious , Yummy Cons: Parking Sometimes more

Best fish tacos in town!!! 3/29/2006

I just tried two new taco places that opened in town recently that are known for their fish tacos, and they simply don't compare. Changos is the best! Great aguas frescas too. I probably eat here on an average of 4 times a week. They need to open more! Pros: service, fresh food, cold beer Cons: need more more

Best Burrito in Austin 5/29/2005

The Super Burrito at Changos is the standard that all other burritos should be measured by. They have discovered the perfect burrito formula, eliminating the need for the assembly-line style burritos from the other places that mask the restaurant's inability to create a good burrito themselves. While there are many good burritos in town, they are at best a distant second to Changos. more

Love those tacos! 8/2/2004

I will always love and crave Chango's tacos! They are the best in town - especially the yummy fried mahi mahi fish tacos! And since their beans and rice are vegetarian, I can take anyone there and please them with anything from the menu. Their food is high in quality, but low in price! Pros: Food Quality, Inexpensive, Tacos more

Chango Taco Dreamin' 8/29/2002

Changos is one of my favorite places on the planet! I moved to LA but still dream of the warm, homemade corn torillas, the fresh salsa, the amazing aqua frescas, smoothies and smiling faces that greeted me the hundred or so times I visited Chango's during my time in Austin. If you know what's good for you, you will drive there now and order the Jardin Deluxe (not on the menu) with black beans and verde sauce! Oh, don't forget the Cajun sauce that you can take to your table! It completes the package. more

Great Mexican ""fast food"" 7/31/2002

If you want Mexican for cheap and fast, go to Changos! The service is good (staff if friendly) and the food is great for what you pay. The fish tacos are fantastic as is the pork tacos - with pineapple. They make their tortillas fresh (while you watch) and they use fresh cilantro! Also, the agua frescas are so yummy in the summertime - you have to try the horchata (rice with cinammon) - sounds weird but is so tasty. Also, the watermelon is great! Pros: cheap, food is great, service Cons: parking more

Upscale Cabana 6/5/2002

I like the pork taco with pineapple chunks in it. The staff is nice and get your food out fairly quick. I wasn't too impressed with the queso, but it wasn't as bad as other fast food Mexican places. Be sure to try a taco here. more
