If you're in Denver and you have the Chad's groupon, be careful not to have any happy hour items on your tab. If you are having some happy hour items, either close that tab out before you have your regular priced items or get 2 tabs for your table and put the happy hour stuff on one. The management is not very friendly and makes the groupon user feel like a 2nd class citizen. I regret buying the groupon because the food here isn't worth it even after the discount. Chad's has forgotten that good restaurants are about good service, which they severely lack. The waiters and waitresses are constantly put off by your requests, they have terrible manners, and they practically don't listen to what you want. As a restaurant that serves a fairly priced meal, but at a decent quality, they forgot that the food isn't the only thing people are coming for. Hence why I believe they consistently have no tables filled when we go. Today was the last straw for me, and I will never go to Chad's ever again. Today, I ordered a house salad (menu price $5) and asked if they could add some shrimp to it. A good lunch that fits my current diet. Untold to me, they decided to charge $19 for this meal. What a crock and a joke. They have a full shrimp meal on the menu that is only $12. Now you might say, the quality of the food and the willingness to customize.... bla bla bla. It was not cool, and a total chump move. Not only was my waitress a complete coward about dealing with the situation, the fact that the manager finds that sort of behavior in any way ethical is just totally sad. If you're going to charge a customer $20 bucks for a salad with shrimp on it, then tell the customer you're going to charge that before you hand them the bill. I have yet to ever go to the restaurant and have a good experience with anyone on their staff, and the food is just ok. If I were you, avoid this restaurant at all costs, its not worth spending your money on these kinds of people. First time and last time. I think they may have a new chef in comparison with the previous reviews! \r \r My order was the 11 oz Top Sirloin w/asparagus spears and mashed taters - $16.99. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and while it was slightly pink in the middle, it tasted extremely dry and just flavorless. The whopping 4 asparagus spears were very under cooked. I didn't try the mashed potatoes, I gave them to my daughter since she wasn't pleased with what was on her plate. \r \r My daughter's order was the 8 oz Flatiron Steak w/asparagus spears and sweet potato fries $15.99. She ordered her steak medium rare as well and while it looked very tasty, the herbs were too over powering making it not so great. The sweet potato fries were these little skinny looking things that tasted just about as good as they looked and her 4 asparagus spears were just as undercooked. \r \r Service wasn't so great either. After we got our meal our server only came back at the end to ask if we wanted dessert. \r \r We only chose this restaurant because the one we really wanted to go to next door had a 30 minute wait and we only had an hour and a half at most before she had to be somewhere. I can not believe that we hadn't been in sooner! They were nice to us, nice to our kids, Sara was our server, and she was friendly and helpful. We stopped in on Sunday night, and they were prompt, attentive and friendly. Very nice touch having the manager buy us dessert just because it was our first trip in. We'll be back for sure.
