Chabuca's Steaks and Rotisserie

We went to Chabuca's for their Father's Day breakfast buffet. They raised the price another $4.00 from the normal listed price so it was $12.95 per person which is a little high for breakfast. Any way, we get there and the buffet is pretty small. The line is long and you have to wait a long time to get to the food. Once you get there the selection wasn't all that great and things didn't look very fresh. The hasbrowns tasted like old paste and I swear couldn't have even been potatoes. The eggs weren't that great either and the biscuits were hard and dry. Most of the food tasted old or like nothing. The fruit wasn't ripe and the only thing that was really edible was the waffles. Over all I really didn't eat any thing and my husband had as little as possible. Once he finished the first plate he said it wasn't worth the effort to stand in line to get any thing else. We brought my mom and dad as well so we spent $75.00 for 4 people to have breakfast. We could have gone to Denny's for half that and been a lot happier. I took the time to talk to the owner about our experience after we paid for the bill. He was rude and became belligerent. He was acting like we couldn't have possibly not liked the food and we were lying. He started questioning my husband who wasn't even part of the conversation. We will NEVER go back here again for any meal and I would advise any one to save their time and money. more

This is truly one of the best dining experiences in the Clear Lake area. If you are traveling to Kemah or Clear Lake, skip the over priced waterfront Landry's chains with their same menu at every restaurant and their frozen bland seafood and try Chabuca's. This place is especially exceptional for a first date, or even an annaversary. I truly recommend the Rodizio, but everthing on the menu is fantastic. I have had their breakfast on one occasion, and was not disappointed, but they truly excel at lunch and dinner. Less expensive then Fogo de Chao, but not in the quality, this is Clear Lake dining at its finest. As for the Rodizio... try everthing, even the turkey breast... it is unbelieveable! more

It all started with hunger. I'd been wanting to try a new buffet after years of Golden Corral had left me wanting more. I'd seen an ad for Chabuca's in the newspaper and I was enticed. When I got there, I instantly fell in love. Not only was the atmosphere great, but the food was completely enticing. They had a wide variety at the buffet, including fish and meat. However, I made my change to eating at Chabuca's once I encountered the service. Very attentive and courteous waiters who greeted me with a smile everytime I was waited upon. Personally, this was the best buffet I've ever been to! Only thing lacking was cleanliness in the bathrooms, which is why it lost a star. Need a buffet? Try Chabuca's. more

Normally when you think buffet, you think cheap food with an average taste. Chubaca's changes that. They offer regular menu items, rotisserie brought to your table or food buffet style. I ordered the buffet at my last visit and was really surprised at what foods they offered. They had fish, seafood, veal marsala, ribs, etc. The food was the *best* I've ever tasted on a buffet. (And possibly the best I've tasted at any restaurant.) The prices are a bit higher than normal buffet places, but you get what you pay for here. The environment is a little more hushed than most restaurants I go to, so if you have a screaming toddler, you may want to wait til you get a babysitter. more
