Highway robbery 11/10/2011

Called them regarding my DLP TV that needed a new DLP chip. Gave them $85 to come and get it. They call the next day and tell me it will be $600 to fix the TV. I found the part online for $200, and a youtube video (about 5 minutes long) that shows how to fix this problem. So $600 - $200 is $400 for what equals to about 1 hour of work AT THE MOST. Seriously? I'll be fixing this myself, and I'll be contacting Samsung about their authorized technicians. more

Don't waste your time!! I'm warning you!!! 8/10/2011

Dropped off my Sharp microwave because CEI was an authorized dealer. Paid my 85 bucks just to drop it off on 6/2 and said it would be a couple of days. I had to call back the following week to check my status and they said it was going to be 185.00 to fix. I told them to go ahead to fix it cause 3 kids without a microwave is brutal. They said average of 7-10 days to fix. Called back to follow up in two weeks and they said the part was on back order and couldn't give me a time frame. I waited another week and called again and got the same answer. I requested my money back and they couldn't refund me my money. So, they have my microwave and my 185 bucks and couldn't refund my money and i had nothing to show for it. Finally part arrives July 22, (9 weeks after I origianlly dropped the microwave off). After waiting two months you would figure I would be on the top of the wait line to have it fixed but then I had to go through a hole bunch of crap and excuses and waited another week!! Finally picked my microwave up the following Friday - I use it on Saturday and it shuts off. I call them on Monday to ask for my money back and spoke with Sharon. She said that she would contacdt Sharp and contact the owner then give me a call back. It has now been 10 days and still no call. Don't waste your time or your money with this company!!! You have been warned!!!! more

Too slow to wait for 3/9/2011

Pointless 7/14/2009

Referred by Phillips. Repairs to my plasma would be more than a new one, I had a day off and made plans to pick up the TV,as I wasn't going to pay over $1000 to repair a 3 yr old plasma, and was told I couldn't, as the ""ticket needs to be closed out"", I had to reschedule my next day, just to go and collect my tv. more

Absolutely Dreadful Experience 9/3/2008

Our 3-year-old Samsung DLP TV broke, and CEI is the only authorized service center in the area. Samsung set me up on a Monday for a service call Wednesday afternoon. A CEI tech left me a message on Tuesday morning, which I returned promptly. I spent the rest of the day waiting for a callback that never came. Wednesday morning I called CEI; their internet is down, please call back later. Called back later, they had no record of my appointment (even though they had my Samsung-provided incident number). They'd try to fit me in -- one of their guys would definitely call me within two hours. No call, of course. Pros: None that I saw. Cons: Spent hours on the phone only to receive an incorrect diagnosis and no actual service call. more

Why are these guys authorized dealers??????????? 5/28/2008

These guys are a joke... All I would say is that if you want to get you TV fix take it somewhere else. Cons: Seem to be in the business of taking customer hard earned money. more

The worst I have ever seen 1/9/2008

Is there a zero start option? LOL! This company is almost comical in their ineptness. The list of complaints would take too much time so I will summarize?.in short if you can think of the worst way to treat a customer they are doing it. No return phone calls, people handling case avoid taking calls, missed appointments, no courtesy call to cancel appointment, technical skills questionable. Two no shows for appointments and I must have been an idiot not to confirm with them that they would show up. I mean don?t we all do that for every company? Part not ordered since I had not called them to ask for status. How are they to know to order the part unless I pester them? Plan to be their baby sitter while you deal with this company. If you want a good laugh have this guys do the work, I know I am since I am under warranty. Make sure you document everything that is happening and I have been taking photos of before and after so they don?t try anything. Pros: They have an easy name to remember Cons: Everything else more

AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8/20/2007

Horrendous, to the point of hiring an attorney and starting the process of filing a complain with the state's consumer affairs division. My mother needed her Samsung TV repaired and the Samsung people referred her to CEI. They said they'd do one thing and never did it (repeatedly), they wouldn't return calls, they were impossible to get on the phone and when you did get someone, they would feign ignorance of the whole situation, they'd say they would show up to pick up/drop off the tv and it never happened (again, repeatedly). It took months of wrangling with these jerks. Do not deal with CEI. Pros: zero Cons: they are jerks more
