I brought my dog into this clinic for the first time this past Saturday, and unfortunately, it was for getting him put to sleep. We'd made an appointment earlier that week, and we arrived spot-on that morning, however there was a lady in front of us ordering >9000 different treatments, foods, medications, etc. and paying for each one with a separate credit card, account, so on and so forth. When my boyfriend stepped forward to inquire how much longer this was going to take, since we both had engagements that day and had already been waiting half an hour with no chance to make our presence known or to sign in, we were met with outright hostility from the client, and rudeness from the receptionist. It was absolutely ridiculous.
I was floored that an employee could be that out and out rude. Having worked in a vet clinic in the past, and having dealt with my own animals, I know what a touchy situation it is to have to euthanise a pet. Instead of getting us into an examination room to fill out our papers and finish the procedure, we were left to languish in the crowded waiting room, feeling stressed out more than we already were due to the poor conduct of the staff.
To the clinic's credit, both the tech and the DVM who administered the procedure were absolutely wonderful, but there are plenty of good vets in this town who have office staff who don't totally suck (the only reason I tried this place out was that Dr. McCoy was booked).
