The owner is such a joke half of the staff just talk to each other and never interact with the children. This place never provides a snack like it is supposed to and Joanne the owner allowed incompetent staff to work here. The staff goes onto numerous websites and makes up positive ratings themselves. Go to either blue kangaroo or the lion and the lamb. Both daycares are in the same area and way better. Lots cheaper too. The owner is the big problem at Caughlin Preschool. If it was under different ownership it would be way better especially when the owner cares more about looking like a 50 year old blond Barbie rather than caring about what is going on at her center. more

    I opened Caughlin Preschool in 2000. My training includes Reading Recovery, California Early Literacy Learning, thematic and developmental teaching. I taught first grade for over 8 years for Washoe County School District. This has been an ideal background for developing and running a high quality preschool like ours.. Caughlin Preschool Provides:

    •     Programs for 6 weeks through Pre-first grade
    •     Individualized Literacy Instruction
    •     Full time Pre-First program
    •     Part time Pre-First Enrichment program
    •     Full and part time Pre-K program for four and five year olds
    •     Full and part time preschool for two and three year olds
    •     Full and part time infant and toddler care
    •     We support Children's Cabinet Subsidy
    •     Before and After school care of first and second grade students
    •     Summer and Holiday Camps during WCSD Vacations
    •     Extended programs during WCSD Institute Days and Conference Weeks
    •     On-site Tumblebus,Ballet,and Martial Arts
