Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with Scott from Catering by Scott. For whatever reason(s), Scott did not respond to numerous e-mails sent directly to his e-mail address from his website (Scott told me in a phone call to send him an e-mail and he would respond). He gave my wife and me verbal commitments at different times, yet he did not follow through with them at all. In business, we call this very unprofessional and a giant red flag. I have decided to forget his commitment and move on while chalking this up to a very expensive lesson learned. I feel obligated to write a review to make sure people don't get caught up in the excitement of their wedding planning only to be disappointed during the process.
I suggest that any contract for catering services be reviewed by a lawyer, as well as contain any and ALL things that are important for your special occasion to be a positive experience. This might be a hassle, but it will make your big day come together the way YOU want it to happen. It is worth the time and effort.
Don't let your excitement for your special occasion blind you from documenting everything. From my experience, verbal commitments are hard to collect. Unfortunately, Scott confirmed this fact once again.
